Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I just was struck with the most astounding idea! I believe the US Mail
service is still in existance (if not, my daughter is out of a job) and
wouldn't it be a great solution to those of you who cannot read my
enclosures due to an uncompatible system, if I were to copy those pages and
MAIL them to you? I mean, this was a real revelation to someone who, if
they cannot reach a friend across town by E-Mail has to be reminded there
is such a thing as a telephone.
Send me your snail mail addresses and I will forward copies to all except
anyone who dares to offer to pay for copies or postage. With all the the
help I have received, through all of these many years, I would be ashamed
not to reciprocate. What goes around, comes around.

No, I do not have access to the Clary Genealogy - Four Early American
Lines and Related Families although I do have copies of some pages in
which Vachel Clary is mentioned. I understood that no more copies are
available. I would love to have a copy. Do you know where I might get
one? Thanks. From Libba Johnson libba(a)ebicom.net
There are still 2 or 3 whose mail was bounced. If you didn't get yours and
want to try again, let me know.
Crandall is trying to get permission to put it on his Web Page.

Dear Cleary/Clan Clan,
Many of the address I sent the histories to were bounced back and I
answered most of them on your own messages so all I can say is contact me
with your E-Mail address spelled out in your message and I will try again.
So far I have had bounced 2ulips, Rachel, den Ouden, Welch, Flanigan, G.
Cleary, a00586 and Young. And a great many went through. I contacted my
server and they said your addresses must have been wrong but since I used
your original messages, I seriously doubt that.
Contact me again and I will try until it succeeds. Sorry. But I don't give
up easily. It's the Irish in me.

I purchased a copy in October 1995 from the Rowlands' son for $25
his address:

As far as I can tell I have sent histories to all of those who requested
it. If I have missed you, please let me know. I had no idea there were so
many of us. Have you noticed that when you have Irish ancestry it takes
precedence over all of the others? At least that is the way it is for me.

Subject: Technical Problem Last Night
Author: listowners-announce(a)rootsweb.com at internet-ext

We ran out of space on one of our listserver's disk drives last
night.
This had at least two consequences:
(1) Some messages which were sent to the lists last night
are irretrievably lost from the archives.
(2) The SmartList software couldn't build digests. So,
rather than not delivering messages to DIGEST mode
subscribers, SmartList forwarded the messages on to
them in MAIL (individual article) mode.
I've fixed the disk space problem by moving around some files, and I
believe everything is operating normally now. There may be some
delays in delivery today while we work off the queue that
accumulated as I was reorganizing the file system. Cheers, B.

Does anyone have a clue on where to buy the Rowland book? I loaned my out
several years ago, I guess because I can't find it, and now that I'm putting
all this on my computer I would certainly like to have another one.
I spoke to the son of the Rowlands and his parents passed away in 1993 (I
believe that's what he told me) and he doesn't have any more books and does
not plan to have another publishing.
I guess I've learned a lesson.....don't loan out books that may be in short
supply.
I decend from Benjamin C*, John, Sr *, John, Jr, Zachariah, Effie (who married
Robert Pantier). I will exchange info with anyone who is interested. From
John, Sr forward they were in Illinois for quite awhile.

you have any info on any of the above, please let me know. I will share
the info I have. Thanks from libba@ebicom.
Dear Cleary cousins,
I scanned several pages and sent them out, along with a little more
information, to all of those whose E-Mail addresses I had. If you want
this history and do not get it, please send me your complete address so
that I can get it out to you.

Let us professionally do your genealogical searching for you, via our
subscriptions to over 100 fee-based databases and every CD-ROM set
publicly available, FAR BEYOND what is available for free online. The
best part about our service is the fee: our service is just $20 per
ancestor, and we only charge if we successfully find the information you
seek.
Our resources include virtually every item available to today's
genealogist...(1) state, federal and local census data, (2) death,
marriage and birth records, (3) military records, (4) property tax and
transfer records, (5) immigration records, (6) computer indexing of all
major genealogical books, (7) full (and very thorough) "robot" searching
of every item available on the Internet, (8) non-US records (a
specialty), (9) trace of nearest living relatives and much more....
Email with search requests or for more information.
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows the history of the Carse of Clary (farm of
Clary?) near Newton Stewart in Wigtonshire Scotland.
Thanks for any information.

Dear Clary relatives-----of which there appear to be many. I received a
scanner for Christmas. I have just about figured out how to get it to
work. When I do, I will send copies of much of the family history that I
have to each of you. Some of it is terribly detailed and extremely Irish
and I doubt anyone wants to really go there. What I really wanted to
emphasize is the fact that many of the Clark family and the Cleary/Clary
family are all one, a lovely Irish stew. I will get it out in a few days.
And no, I do not have a web site. I am far too lazy to maintain one.
Marilynn
Hi folks:
I'd also be interested in the Clary-Cleary material. My wife is a Cleary,
Canadian side, her family came to Canada in the 1820-1830 era first settling
in Ste. Catherine, Portneuf Co, Quebec and then moved on to Ottawa, Carleton
Co, Ontario. Originally from Monaghan, Ireland.
