Would appreciate help on finding family information on:
Michael CLEARY, b: 15 Oct 1864 Peoria, Illinois
Michael CLEARY married Mary Elizabeth FLANIGAN in Norborne, Missouri on
10 Mar 1893 and died in Kansas City, Missouri 25 July 1930. The birthdate of
15 Oct 1864 is from his death certificate signed by his son. However other
indications are that he might have been born in 1863. His father's name on
the death certificate is listed as Michael with mother's name unknown. All
other indications are that he was born in Illinois but the death certificate
is the only reference to Peoria known. It is also not known when he came to
Missouri nor whether there were other family members. I have not found him
in 1870 or 1880 census.
Since he was Catholic, it is assumed that he was probably baptized within a
short time after birth and the records would be in a Catholic Church in the
area.
Cleary could be spelled in any one of the variations as local church baptism
records for his children varied.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
