Thanks Mary,
Trying to figure out the information from the DNA chart is a little confusing. Assuming that John and David Clarkson of York County , VA is part of my tree, are there any records, parishes /etc. to visit or obtain in particular counties? Also, do you have any information on the Leinart/Dunn cemetery in TN? We have found many of the Leinarts in Dutch Valley and on our way to Lafollette. But we couldn't locate the Leinart/Dunn cemetery. Plus, are there any Leinarts in TN that I could visit with or contact directly in person?
Thanks for such a quick response.
Ken

I posted y-matches for CLARKSON BUT THEN I READ THIS:
On Tuesday, an Alaska man became the lead plaintiff in a proposed class-action lawsuit filed against the makers of Family Tree [FamilyTreeDNA], a Texas-based DNA testing company.
In his suit, Michael Cole alleges that months after purchasing a Family Tree at-home genetics kit and joining a "project," an online forum for people doing related research about their ancestors, "the results of his DNA tests were made publicly available on the Internet, and his sensitive information (including his full name, personal e-mail address, and unique DNA kit number) was also disclosed to third-party ancestry company RootsWeb (a subsidiary of Ancestry.com, a company that allows users to research their lineage).
If approved as a class-action, the lawsuit would include Alaskans who had their DNA results shared by Family Tree without their consent. But it's not clear exactly how many people that could potentially include. The filing charges Family Tree with being in violation of the Alaska Genetic Privacy Act and asks the court to award the plaintiffs $100,000 in damages plus attorney's fees.

I just posted a message on a thread starting in 2000; I decided maybe I should start a new thread. There is a CLARKSON/CLAXTON DNA project, which my brother FERMAN has joined. We descend from a northern England family from Barnacar, Garstang, Lancashire, England ca 1650. We have matches with cousins from our James CLARKSON's siblings. James came to America with the British army during Revolutionary War. Our British cousins call him the "deserter" we call him the Patriot. :) I will upload a jpg of some of matches.

I know I (Ferman CLARKSON DNA my brother) match with CLAXTON & Constantine CLARKSON's DNA but I believe it is in England. I have my James CLARKSON b 1749 d 1824 Essex Co VA descendants all accounted for in USA. I have James' father Peter and Peter's father b ca 1660 in parish records so back to 1600's in northern England, Barnacar, Garstang, Lancashire, England.
Here is some DNA matches in the CLARKSON/CLAXTON

Hi Mary Leinart,
First, I just came across your post from 2000 , and , perhaps, this may be too late to respond. However, my name is Ken Claxton and have been able to trace my family surname of Claxton in Tennessee from a Constantine Clarkson in Anderson County. From my research in Clinton, I have found a land deed with Constantine's last name as Clarkson, along with 2 spelling variation's of Claxton.
I look forward to corresponding and comparing information.
Ken Claxton
