I have Clarkson relatives that lived in Ontario, Canada and in manitoba. He (William Clarkson) also had relatives in New York. HIs wife's name was Jennie and their children were William, Robert, And Gertrude Elizabeth (or Elizabeth Gertrude)--I think they called her Bessie. Do you know anything about these folks? If so, would appreciate your sharing what you know. Thanks

Lovett: W.D. Clarkson, our hustling merchant and trustee, is the proudest
man in town. It's a 12-pound boy, born Tuesday.
Does anyone have W.D. Clarkson in the 1900 census? Marriage record? Who
was his parents? Thanks. Donna Carpenter [icebluemermaid(a)comcast.net]

Wondering if you have had your "Clarkson" Y dna checked. My Clarkson Y dna is very rare, and appears to be of welsh origin. Clarkson does not appear to be a Welsh name, usually Yorkshire or Scot... Celtic origin. I am #1 in the attached DNA study link.

Hi Janet,
I've just spotted your rather old email.
Are you descended from James CLARKSON of Old Malton and his second wife, Ellen? I am descended from James and his first wife, Mary, through their daughter, Alice.
Regards,
Deborah
