These are the Clarksons I have.
James Clarkson, married to Elizabeth Frances (I don't have dates) had a son Edward Clarkson, b Rotherhithe 25 Jul 1827. He married Sarah Shattell at St George the Martyr, Southwark, on 6? October 1850 (day unclear on certificate). It is the Shattell family who I am currently working on.
Edward and Sarah's children, all b Rotherhithe (from IGI):
Sarah Ann Clarkson, b 25 June 1852
Eliza Clarkson, b 16 Jan 1854
Esther Elizabeth Clarkson, b 4 Dec 1855
ALSO (possibly, awaiting certificates to check):
Edward James Clarkson, b 1858
James Edward Clarkson, b 1862
John Edward Clarkson, b 1864
I am still working on these. There seem to be plenty of other Clarksons in Rotherhithe who are not in the line I am working on, e.g. John Clarkson who married Caroline Amelia, and a William Clarkson. I don't know how they tie up.
I cannot find any of my Clarksons in the 1881 or 1901 UK censuses and am wondering if they emigrated? I'd welcome any info you might have. Thanks.
