This is to update the info I posted the other day on Elizabeth Mahan daughter
of John Mahan and Agnes Laforce Mahan. Elizabeth was born in the fall of 1782
in Canada before the prisoners were released. She married Charles Clarkson
1799 in Bourbon Co KY. Revised list of children:
1. Anselm E Clarkson
2. John M Clarkson
3. David Jefferson Clarkson
4. Agnes M Clarkson
5. Ann H Clarkson b c 1809
6. Eliza Clarkson b c 1810
7. Adeline Clarkson
8. Abonade b c 1812
9. Zamira Typhenia b c 1815
The Charles Clarkson I posted earlier as a son was a misreading of old
handwriting. Sorry.

-------------------------
My paternal grandfather, Alexander Wilson Clarkson (A.W.), was shown as
being born in N.C. in the 1880 fed census, but location unknown. The
record
of marriage bonds from 1741 to 1868 indicates several persons in Chowan
county during that period..instances on record were 1790, 1807, 1820. My
grandfather would have been born about 1850. Thus he was possibly the
son
of a male member of the Clarkson line in the county at that time. If
anyone
has information that will confirm and guide me, I would certainly
appreciate
hearing. Thank you.

Subject: [MODADE] Section/Twp Maps?
I'm having trouble figuring out from BLM records exactly WHERE some of
my
ancestors' lands were located. Is there such a thing as a Dade County
map,
with twp and sections marked? I'm particularly interested in Twp 25,
30,
and
31.
I have a copy of an 1859 deed for about 239 acres in Sections 5-6-7 in
Twp
31, Range 27 (John P. Shields to David S. Clarkson for $1812.50). What
was
the nearest community?
thanks,

Hi
Just wondered if anyone had come across the following Clarkson:
John Clarkson born approx 1779, married Ann Tranter on 12th May 1799 at All Saints Church, Sedgley, Staffordshire.
If John rings a bell with anyone, I would love to hear from you.
Best Wishes

I am looking for some information on my late Father. He died in Switzerland
at about 100 years old. But I don't remember when. About 40 years ago?
He was a chemist in Indonesia before I was born.
He returned to Holland and married my late Mother Hillegonda Fransisca
Roozen and they lived in Haarlem at the Witteburgerweg, where I was born in
1929.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He separated from my Mother when I was 5 years old and remarried a Swiss
lady?
He also had a sister. Name????
I can read Dutch but ....
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
