Looking for any information on John CLARKE / CLARK.
Married Hannah LAWTON in Ashley, Staffordshire in 1776. Parish registers say he was of the parish of Eccleshall at this time, but I can find no record of his birth in the Eccleshall registers.
Two of his sons became blacksmiths, so possible connection, occupation-wise.
Thanks in anticipation!

Hello, I would like to know where the people who list the parents of Sarah Clarke (the one who married Robert Thompson and was born about 1670) as Jeremiah (Jeremy) Clark and Frances Latham's daughter got their info.
As much as I would love this to be true, all the research I have done states that their daughter Sarah was born in 1651. The daughter "Sarah Clarke" that these two produced was married twice, neither time to Robert Thompson. She married (1) John Pinner, (2) Gov. Caleb Carr. (Yet another Sarah Clarke married Edward Greenman Jr.)
They have some pretty good sources listed.
Citations
1. [S166] New England Families, Clarke, Jeremiah or Jeremy ID: I8707.
2. [S737] The American Carr Families, pg. 1.
3. [S738] "Great Migration 1634-1635, C-F," entry for Caleb Carr pg.14.
4. [S166] New England Families, Clarke, Sarah ID: I8701.
So...who were Sarah Clarke Thompson's parents? If you say they were indeed Jeremiah and Frances, what sources do you have? Thanks!

I've been recently researching the Clarke branch of part of my family as well - distant but there. I ran across a Rowland Clark but I seem to be getting some information mix ups from Ancestry.com records and online research. Does anyone know if Thomas married a Mickelwood, and if so, was it Mary or Margaret? Ancestry's records show that Mary is William's mother, but my online reasearch is confirming her sister, Margaret as his mother! It's turned into a large can of worms that I can seem to piece out.
Any help is appreciated!
Melissa
