Hi, I am looking for information on Francis (Frank) Hatfield that married Elizabeth Clarke. I believe I found his death certificate and it states that he died 26 Dec 1928. Also, according to the death certificate, he lived at Indian Road and his parents were John and Mary Hatfield. Does anyone know who these individuals are? The really confusing part I have, is that I found a marriage record for Elizabeth Clarke to a Francis White (parents Peter and Emmeline White) in 1877. Francis and Elizabeth White can be found in the 1881 Canadian Census for Shubenacadie, Hants, Nova Scotia. Francis White and Elizabeth had a son Creighton born about 1878 according to the 1881 Canadian Census. In the 1891 Census Elizabeth's husband's name is Frank Hatfield and Creighton's last name is now Hatfield. I also found a birth record for a Creighton Hatfield for 26 Jun 1878 in Shubenacadie with parents Frank Hatfield and Elizabeth Clark. Even though there are different parents listed, I am beginn!
ing to wonder if Francis White and Frank Hatfield might be the same person since I haven't found a death record for Francis White or a marriage record for Frank Hatfield. Does anyone have any information or ideas on this? I will be cross posting this to the White and Hatfield message boards. Lennie

Ida Warren and William Marshall Clarke married in Pickensville, AL. in 1882.
They had a daughter, Iva Louise Clarke, born March 1889. I have been told
that she married Oswald Gardner Hackett, but I have been unable to find any
information with her name connected to Oswald. I have found this man in
several sources with a wife, Minnie M. Hackett.
Was Iva also married to Oswald? Was she a second wife? First wife and a
very short marriage? Were there two Oswalds?
I saw an old letter written by part of this family, dated Oct. 5, 1951, and
she said that Iva was deceased.
Would appreciate some help on Iva Louise Clarke and Oswald Gardner Hackett.
Thanks.
Sue
