Unfortunately the only information I can find for the marriage to Ezekiel listed his mothers last name as Clark.
Ezekiel's mother was named Nancy. The 1890 Census for Benton, Howell, MO shows Ezekiel and his children living with her.

Joseph Clark, age 9 in July 1870 census at Cass township, Texas Co, MO. In household with Ezekiel Blanton, b abt 1834 TN.
Joseph's mother is not listed here, so she may have already died. No other Clark brothers or sisters, but a half-sister Susan B Blanton b abt 1865 TX suggests that the Blanton marriage occurred in Texas between 1861-1865.
Perhaps you can find that marriage record, to get her maiden name... and then look for the 1st marriage record with a Clark?
Incidentally, Ezekiel's parents are likely Abner and Nancy Blanton, found in 1850 census at Franklin Co, MO.

Message Board Post:
I am searching for the father of my great grandfather Joseph F. Clark. Joseph was born in 1862 in Texas. All subsequent census records list both of his parents as being born in England.
His father died between 1862 and 1864, presumably in Texas. His mother Mary C. Clark remarried Ezekiel Blanton in Harrison, Tx in 1864. She died about 1870 in Texas or Missouri.
Joseph was raised by Ezekiel Blanton in and around Texas and Howell counties in MO. He married Sarah Ellen Ledsinger in Benton, Howell, MO in 1886.
So far I have not found any immigration records for his father or Mary but I have been told that they immigrated through Texas. There are also two pictures in the family that have "in the vaccinity or Waco TX" printed on the back. One is of a gentleman who could either be Joseph's father or Ezekiel and the other of a young Joseph and his mother.
I would appreciate any help!

Hello All:
I have not been active on the list for a couple of years so I am re-posting, hoping to start looking for connections to my father's family.
JAMES W. CLARK, born ca,. 1895, perhaps in Texas, died about 1931-32 in a Texas oil field accident. He was a driller on an Oil Rig and the story I have is that he died in a fire on that rig.
All I know of his family is that they were land-owners in East Texas. He had a brother that went by the name of J.R. I don't know if he was a junior or if those were the initials of his given name. There was also a sister that worked in the legal profession in some way.
I have a picture of James that shows black wavy hair and a prominent nose.
My mother was ROBERTA J. HIGHTOWER. As far as I know she was not from any of the Texas Hightower families. She did not get along with his family and when he died she took her small son and went her own way. I was born in 1928 so I would have been 3 or 4 at the time.
I know I am looking for a needle in a haystack, and I have been looking for quite a while, but here I am again.
I was born in Oklahoma and live in Michigan. At the age of 79 I am pretty much restricted to doing my research on the internet.
If anyone has any information or suggestions please feel free to contact via email. My address is, pfitterdad(a)ncats.net.
Good hunting to all and,
God Bless,
Richard E. Clark

Maggie,
daylight is starting to creep in!. I have worked substantially from an A3 size hadnwritten set of pages and notes of Philippe Allen Larbalestier and a further hand writt en set of Trees running to 21 pages but in the latter quite a bit of the numbering carried and brought forward does not match. Working ouit from your notes my Tree runs
Philippe - Marie Amy
Phillipe - Marie Payne (Jean younger brother)
Charles - Ann Vincent
Charles Jean - M A Clement
Edward Charles - Paquet
Edward John - Messer
Joan Phylis - Edward Raymond Bailey
Edward Leon Bailey otherwise me
Clearly I will have to do substantial re writing and I wonder if in some form or another you can send me what you have of the family Tree from Philippe and Amy downwards
Incidentally does this mean you are in some way connected to Ann Hayes (nee Clarke) and Angelo Clarke and Jack Clarke.
Edward

Maggie, thanks for the message. Assuming my George Jean of 20th May 1828 and yours are one and same then the common link appears to be Charles Larbalestier born 11 January 1778. Charles was my grandfather's great grandfather. However I recently merged files on my Family Tree Maker program and the results look a bit odd so until I can edit the whole tree I cannot be certain as to relationships. I have a 10' by 5' printout to check against.
I would be delighten to receive any tree information at all that includes Larbalestiers so that I can improve my family knowledge and correct my own tree.

For my CLARK(e)/LAND cousins who reside in Canada, the Canadian Government
instituted the Canadian Heraldic Authority in 1988.
Full details can be found on the following web site:
http://www.gg.ca/heraldry/cha/index_e.asp
The Authority's major activities include:
- granting of new armorial bearings (arms, flags and badges) and native
symbols;
- registration of recognized existing arms, flags and badges;
- approval of military badges, flags and other insignia of the Canadian
Forces;
NOTE: registration of genealogical information related to the inheritance of
arms;
- provision of information on correct heraldic practices;
- provision of information on heraldic artists who work in various media;
- and development of, and involvement in, national and regional heraldic
ceremonies.
These ceremonies, incidentally, may involve the Governor General, who may
personally present the new coat of arms and sign the grant document. With
few exceptions, only documents the Governor General has personally presented
to corporate bodies bear her signature; others are signed by officers of the
Canadian Heraldic Authority.
There are two options in format which are available and are detailed on the
web site. Option I costs vary between $1800 to $3300, depending on what is
requested. In Option I, the need for additional preliminary artwork, or
the inclusion of a flag, badge, shields for children, or decorative elements
will result in additional costs.
For Option II, the minimum cost of a grant of a coat of arms (shield, crest,
helmet, mantling, and motto) is approximately $2,000, including the
processing fee, one preliminary design and the letters patent .
Kindest regards,
Anne Clark-Stewart UE

I've been looking up some information today for a friend regarding the Clarkes of Victoria County/Peterborough County. I found two others who had their parents listed as "Hugh Clarke & Catherine". Both of these were living in Emily Tp., Victoria Co., at the time of their marriages--which was the same place that your Catherine Ann Clarke Little was born (per her marriage register). I need your e-mail address to share this information with you.
Also, I'd like to ask how you know that Hugh & Catherine Clarke are buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Campbellford, Ontario (Northumberland Co.) Do you have any dates for them? I see Catherine M. Clarke on the OCFA buried there but Hugh isn't listed.
My email address is: ctaber(a)mountaincable.net
Have you found any additional information on this family.
Thanks,
Cheryl
