I have only just come across your Larbalestier/Clarke posting. George Jean Larbalestier born (on my records) 20 May 1828 was my second cousin twice removed. His parents are in my tree listed as Phillipe Larbalestier and Marie Louise Bisson. The Larbalestier line I have back to about 1543 but no info on the Bisson line or George Jean marriage and descendants. There is a Clarke line from a Philip Wright Clarke with family still living
I would be most interested to know of any family connections here Edward Bailey

I am researching the family of Albert S. and Eliza Clarke Greeley from the Maine Prairie / Kimball area of Minnesota. Albert came from Maine in the early 1800s and married Eliza Clarke abt. Jun 1860. Their children are George, Jacob, Nellie and Alvin. Albert died abt. 1876 and I haven't confirmed where Eliza and her children then lived. Her daughter, Nellie, married George Washington Beckman in 1884. George's mother was Rachel Davis - perhaps a sister to Edith Davis Brown, my 3rd great grandmother. Albert S. was also a brother to Nehemiah Greeley, my 2nd great grandfather. I am hoping all this research will lead me to Edith's parents. As always, I am happy to share my research with others - thank you! Sue

The Clark Family From England lived in Embden and North Anson Maine Area
There is a great book of Embden the "Embden Towne of Yore Book".
The Clark Family From Vienna Austria Area lived in the Bath Area in Maine
and Waterville Area of Maine
This line was into ship building. "History of Waterville" by Edward
Whittemore
The Clark Family From Ireland Area lived in Tophsam, Litchfield, and
Carratunk Area of Maine
This line was into saw mills, wood cutting and gris mill. "History of
Litchfield, Topham Maine"
The Clark Family From Dorchester, Mass lived in Winslow, Maine
This family line was also into gris mills back in Mass much information was
written of this line from Mass.
My Emden and North Anson are not Clarks. My thrid great grandmother lived
and married there. She married into my Morse line. She was Thankful Bumpus and
he was Jacob Morse, Jr. My Morses moved to
Bridgewater, ME and some married eventually into my Clark grandfather
(Jarvis) who was born in Presque Isle, ME but his mother was conceived in and lived
in Stickney, NB, Canada at the time. I suspect my Clarks came to St. John NB
from Engloan d or were part of the MA group which were Clerks who went to
Halifax, NS from Hamilton, Essex, MA. Don Beattie

I have not found much on my Josiah back from his marriage in Norridgewock,
Maine.
If I find anything on your Isaiah which my line is a Isaiah Clark son of
Josiah Clark .
Most came from either Bath Area and Mass or directly from England, Austria,
and Ireland. So take your pick...I have been told that ours is not related
to the others and well here we have 3 different countries . That makes us
one of the three English, German or Irish. All three Clark families came to
Maine. Leaving it hard for us today to trace since they branched out so.
So if you find any information that would be great.
Keep in touch,
Tammy
