Hi, Leon! My maternal gggrandma was Eliza A. Clarke born in Maryland.
She was married to Henry C. Early. They had two daughters Elizabeth and
Mary Elizabeth they were listed on the 1860 Census of Claiborne Co., Ms.
at Port Gibson, Ms. Mary Elizabeth married my ggrandpa Francis (Frank)
Mayberry of Romney Hampshire Co., Va(WV). I believe they knew each
other, the reason my ggrandpa was in the area possibly, by knowing the dau
Mary E. Early, she was listed as age 19 on the above census of Claiborne
Co.,
Mississippi. After the war was over in the fall of 1866 they moved to Grand
River Twp., Cass Co., Missouril Later Mary E. Early Mayberry remarried to
D. N. McGill on Dec 18, 1877 at Harrisonville, Cass Co., Mo. Mary E. had
a son by D. N. McGill and name listed on the 1880 Census of Cass Co., Mo.
indicated his name was Noble and he was 2 yrs old. I don't know what
happened
after that period. If there is any connection, and other information is
known let
me know. Bye, Frank Mayberry in Muskogee, Ok

Subject: Re: [Clarke-Clark] Clarks in Iowa and maybe in Virginiia
| My great great grandfather was George W Clark. He married in Martinsburg,

an
| Elizah Clark b: about 1811 m: Elizabeth Smith b: about 1812 both in
| Virginia.
| Their children are listed. John A Clark b: about 1832 and George W Clark
b:
| about 1833. I do not have enough information to connect to that George
W.
| There were other siblings: William M Clark, James Franklin Clark, Mary J
| Clark, Christina C Clark, Sarah L Clark and Elizabeth A Clark.
|
| This information came from The Johnson Family Tree in Ancestry.com but
none
| of the email addresses connected to them work. Take a look in
Ancestry.com.
| Some descendants of these died in Indianna and Missouri.

| I am hoping this information can lead to a break through for both of us.

Sorry, can't resist.... turn of which Century?
We just turned-the-century two years ago! I
guess we are still getting used to that fact
and have not had the chance to re-adjust our
familiar terminology. :)

Hello All,
In reference to your messages which inquired about Clarks in Ontario,
Canada, and a mention about Quebec, Can. just wanted to let you know
that I also have done some research on my Subject people: Mary Boyd,b:
28 Oct 1850, Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland, and Alexander Clark, b:ca 1844,
Scotland. They Mary Boyd, her Parents: John Boyd and Mary Guthrie and
other children emigrated from Scotland probably between 1868 and
June/July 1870. They all appeared on the 1871 Ontario, Canada Census in
Grantham, Lincoln Co. Ont. Can. I do not know when Alexander Clark
arrived or where he actually emigrated from. I have no marriage record
on Mary Boyd and Alexander Clark, however, they had a daughter, little
Mary Clark, b: 10 Oct 1872 in Grantham..above. They may have had others,
but know they had a son: my Grandfather: William Alexander Clark, : Feb
1877, in Merritton, Lincoln Co. Ont. Can. NO birth record has been
found on him.
Mary Boyd and Alexander Clark, emigrated from Ontario, Canada, probably
at the same time as my Grandfather's Naturalization Record: on 1 April
1879, on the NY Central Railroad to Buffalo, Erie co. NY. They appeared
next on the 1880 MA Census..in Attleboro, Bristol Co. MA. Three
children were with them at that time. Little Mary Clark, age 7;
William, age 4 (my Grandfather) and John, age 1 yr..listed as
Other...not son. Relationship unknown.
Mary's Parents: John Boyd and Mary Guthrie, also emigrated from Ontario,
Can. to RI , USA and appeared on the 1880 RI Census in Lincoln,
Providence Co. RI. with four children , other than Mary. William,
Archibald, John Jr. and Margaret Fairbairn Boyd. Ages, 26 down to 14
years. Someone else, by the name of Archibald Boyd and Margaret and
several ?(6) children were also in this RI location.
If any of you can connect with these names, I do have further Census
information on Mary Boyd, Alexander Clark and death information on
Mary's Siblings: the three brothers named above. Still searching for
other data. I have my Grandfather's information from 1907 on to his
Wife: Mary C. Doyle; their Son, my Father: Wm. Albert Clark, b:23 June
1908, Worcester, MA. and their ultimate move by 1920 to Waterbury, CT.
and later to Devon, Milford, New Haven County, CT.
Do any of you have any connections to these names? And where is your
search concentrated on in Ontario and Quebec? Please give a summary of
your family, what you know about them; and, what you need to know about
them. ok? Thanks
Regards, Barb Clark
I am looking for descendants of Thomas Clark who married Sally Stodgil in Wayne County, KY, in 1816. I believe somebody told me this Thomas Clark migrated to Arkansas. If this is your ancestor, I need to touch bases with you!
Also, I am looking for any descendants of Thomas Clark who appears on the 1799 tax list for Pulaski County, KY.

I finally got the marriage license ..but no application..the court house told me they did not have any app. for back then they did not know what happen to them.
Elizabeth Clark was 15..consent was given by her mother ,but it does not give her mothers name
Ernest Rude was 24..
Elizabeth would have been born around 1917 I assume in Mo. anyone have any idea to how I can find out who her parents are
Is there anyone with access to the Pulaski County 1800 census who could do a lookup for me, please? Any information regarding property, tithables or whatever would be helpful. Also, if there is a way to determine neighbors and/or whether he might be living in the part of Pulaski that became Wayne County in 1801, that would be tremendous.
Clark, Samuel
State: Kentucky Year: 1800
County: Pulaski Roll:
Township: Unknown Townships Page: 0

I am also trying to determine if this might be the same Samuel Clark who married Polly Williams on 03 Sep 1798 in Lincoln County, KY. I believe Wayne County was part of Lincoln County until 1799, upon which it briefly became part of Pulaski in 1800.
Thanks so much for any help!

Hi Brad,
I'm researching CLARKs of Toronto, Ontario. One set of CLARKs didn't arrive
in Toronto until about the 1920s from Winnipeg, MB. Before that, my CLARKs were
living in Kent, England. My other CLARK family emigrated from around London
to Toronto around 1905.
Do you have any connections to Toronto?

I am looking for a listing of old cemeteries in Stratham, NH. In particular I am looking for the location of the graves of John Clark and his wife Rooksby (Greenleaf) Clark. I do not have dates of death for either relative, but John was born Bef. Feb 08, 1711/12 in Newberry, MA and Rooksby was born May 11, 1713 in Newberry, MA. They had the following children: John, Rooksby and Paul.
Any help locating cemeteries in Stratham where they may be buried would be greatly appreciated. I am planning a trip to NH this month and would like to locate and photograph their stones.
Thank you
Pat Thayer
I am researching Clark family from Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. Martin
