Hi
Cannot help you directly Emilysnanna (I am a Emilys nanna too) but from the
previous site I sent ot the list, I found on the Genuki site, researching
from abroad, as site that may help you or anyone else with Clarkes or other
families from Ireland to America. It is 275 books and other records that
can be found at the Library of Congress in the USA. the subject is
"Ireland-Genealogy" there maybe something there to help youa s well. I
noted Churches and graveyards in Ireland as one of the subjects. Ships and
passengers to Ireland etc.

It is being transferred to a new server and will be up shortly. Prior to
going down (the 19th?), they posted a warning that it would be about a week.

This is slightly off topic folks, but when you have a
problem you go to the folks that know.
Is anyone having a problem acccesing "genforum" or is it
just my probem.
Thanks for your input.
Frank
Hi,
I know this is a CLARKE list, but this site has very useful websites of different types of records and where to find them. Even the Gentlemans magazine, notes and queries. I have veiwed this site before and you can type in your surname and come up with many entries for that name. Clarke as well.

Hi, this site is good for the beginner, but has Web addresses as well for the following. You will have to scroll down for the addresses.
http://www.stcaths.com online BDM records
http://www.hme.gov.uk National Register of Archives
http://www.pro Public Records Office at Kew.
Edie
Hi
Here is the website for the new addresses where the Wills post 1858 and pre 1858 and the BMD are now held. You will have to scroll down to get the addresses.
http://www.somerset-house.org.uk/links/index.html
If you want to take a look a photo of Somerset house and it also tells you what it now holds, you can go to this website. Would be worth visiting, so it would appear

Hi Michelle,
Somerset House is where the Wills were kept centrally from 1858 until they
were placed in the centre of London aobut 6 years ago.

Hi Bill...
This one looks promising... Did the parents of Richard & Nancy have to
give their permission for them to marry in 1817? That would indicate
they were both under age in 1817?

Dear Listers:
I am pleased to announce the launching of the Clark-DNA list.
The purpose of this list is to provide a forum for the free discussion of and exchange of
information about any and all Clark DNA projects, no matter the spelling or location of
participants, nor focus of the particular project. Variants of the Clark surname, and
therefor DNA projects, can include, but are not limited to: Clark, Clarke, LeClerc,
LeClerk, Clerc, Clerk, Clerke, etc., and may also find connections with the Irish
surnames: Cleary, Clery, Cleare, Clearey, Clary, Claree, Clarey, McCleary, McCleery,
MacCleary, MacCleery, McClarey, O'Cleary, O'Cleery and probably others.
This list provides for a wider range of discussion re genetic genealogy
and in more depth than may be afforded on most surname or locality lists. One nice thing
about the Clark-DNA list is that all those subscribed share an interest in genetic
genealogy! This new list looks to compliment, not supplant, your experience on the
surname and locality lists.
To subscribe send the command "subscribe" to
CLARK-DNA-L-request(a)rootsweb.com
or for the digest version:
send the command "subscribe" to
CLARK-DNA-D-request(a)rootsweb.com
to start receiving digests.
It is with a combination of good, well documented, genealogy and
sound science that much can be learned of the origins and migrations
of those of these lineages.
Kind Regards,
Lauren Boyd

further Northwest of Raisinville... Clark City in Ash Twp. (which is now in

John Worthington Clark removed from New Jersey (pressumably via New York as
one of his sons was married in Waterloo, NY in 1823).
I have been unable to find anything on this family in New Jersey and would
appreciate it if anyone has any info on John's parents.
