Hi, Joe in Idaho.
Thanks for writing. My line of Clarks began in England when Michael Clark with his wife and son Micajah Clark sailed to Barbados. Later Micajah moved to Virginia Next in line was Christopher Clark, then Micajah Clark II, then Robert Clark, followed by William Clark, William P. Clark and William Pennington Clark who was my grandfather.
I don't recognize your names, so I guess you are in a different line.
Let me know if you think there could be a matchup anywhere, OK?

Dick,
Thank you for responding to my query. I am not familiar with Heritage Quest. Is this a website? Is Hugh Clark the author or the book in question?

Looking for decendents of John Clarke Stoneparke,County Fermanagh.who emigrated to u s a probably New York .I dont know his date of birth but he had a brother Peter born about 1855.He had one sister Mary. His father was Patrick, and his grandfather was Terence. His brother Peter was a blacksmith.and died in Ireland 25th March, 1925.
John was a school teacher when he left Ireland.
Do you have an approximate birth date for either of them? Do you have
any siblings of Nathaniel?
I have lots of NY Clarks in my data base, born in the early 1800s... and
perhaps I can come up with some possibilities if I can narrow in on a
birth year...

Here is the one brick wall that I have been seeking the answer for - many
years!!
Charles Clark - b. late 1864 or early 1865 in Franklin County, Ohio
father was Henry Clark OH 1832-1912
mother was Emily (Emilene) Miller OH 1836-1922
had sisters: Laura Jane 1855-1899 m. Dexter G White in Grove City Ohio
in 1876
Isadora 1858-ca 1934 m. Archibald Kenefeck
Mary 1861-1897 m Shade Walton lived south of Grove
City
1880 census shows Charles as a 15 year old at home on his father's farm in
Jackson Twp, Franklin Co. OH
The last I have on Charles is a family group picture taken
after sister Mary had died in 1897, but sister Laura Jane had not yet died
in 1899.
Charles Clark does not show up in the 1900 census report,
nor have I been able to find any reference to him thereafter.
Can anyone offer any help??

1 - David Clark b. 1734/37 m. Sarah (Winans) Scudder daughter of Johnathan
Winans and Susanna Mills
2. Isaac Clark b. 1780 m 1, Lydia Zeliff 2, Mrs.Sarah (Stout)
Clark. Sarah's maiden name is Royal - my line descends from his
marriage
to Lydia.
I have completed this line and, while I was in the process of entering
sources for the other children of David Clark I reread all of the wills and
found some information that is perplexing. It is regarding David Clark
Sr's will that was written on 2 Apr 1779 and proved 15 Apr 1810. This
will states his son David Clark b. 1776 (married to Sarah Winans) was
deceased when the will was written. All other records state that David
Clark Jr. died 6 Jan 1847, Sangamon Co., Illinois.
He leaves the whole of his moveable estate and green corn now on the ground
to wife Sarah. Matthias received the whole of his lands and fast estate.
He directs Matthias to pay unto the two grand children of his son David
Clark diseased viz David and Sarah Clark; the sum of one hundred pounds
proc. to be equally divided between them two and to be paid to them when
they arrive at the age of twenty one years. He also directs Matthias to pay
unto his beloved Grand Daughter Sarah Badgly, youngest daughter of my
daughter, Sarah Badgley, diseased the sum of forty pounds proc. to be paid
to her at the age of twenty one years -- He also gives and bequeaths unto
his son Joshua Clark if ever he should return, the sum of ten
shillings. He appoints his "beloved" brother in law, Robert Clark and son
Matthias, executors.
William Clark, Aaron Woodruff and John Scudder witnessed the will in the
presence of the Testator -- 16 Apr 1810 -- Signed William Clark
In the Letters of administration; Thomas T. Kinner was surrogate of the
County of Essex to David Clark. Brother in law, Robert Clark, appears as
Robert Price ( perhaps he was married to David's sister?)
Matthias, and another son Johnathan were Sarah's from her previous marriage
to Jacob Scudder.
David Clark's children with Sarah, went on to Ohio and then to Illinois
- he didn't mention them in his will.
Can anyone shed any light on the Death of David Clark, Jr. -- why his
father's will notes that he is deceased and the majority of us believe that
he died in 1847?
.
Hello everyone, I thought I'd send this again, in case someone 'new' has
joined and has this family in their tree? He seems to be a lost cause.
Many thanks,

>Hello all,
I have recently joined the list, and wonder if there is anyone
researching the following family. I have very sketchy details;
Wanting to find out about George Clarke, who was married to
Jane Ellen ? in the ??1860's.I haven't been able to find a record of that
marriage. It could have been in India.!!
Their daughter Henrietta Charlotte Clarke was baptised on
the 24th June, 1867, at Woolwich, Kent. She was born on the 6th. April, but
there doesn't seem to be a record of her birth anywhere so far.
George was a 2nd. Fireworker , 16th Brigade Royal
Artillery. He might have been away with the army when Henrietta was born, so
she could have been born elsewhere, India, Ireland etc., or on a ship???
George later went to India, where he was a sgt, Govt.
Railway Police, Assenole, in 1881 to ???The trail stops there for me. Hope
someone can put me on the right track again.
Many thanks, Jill Glover

Hello,
This is my first posting to this list. I am stuck with John CLARKE born Norwich about 1851. There appear to be several John Clarke's born in Norfolk at around the same time so I am unable to pin down which is the correct one. Please does anyone recognise him?? He was a Hawker and also an Umbrella Maker.
I have been unable to find a marriage for him either but Emma formerly PEARSON appears on two of his children's birth certificates. Emma was born Kent about 1860.
Their children are as follows.
Emma born 1881 in either Kingston, Surrey or Tunbridge, Kent??
Kate born 1883 Sevenoaks Kent. I have the birth cert for this one.
Albert born 1885 Woodford Essex.
Sydney born 1887 Woodford Essex.
Nellie born 1889 Walthamstowe Essex.
Arthur born 1891 Walthamstowe Essex
Eliza born 1894 Walthamstowe. Essex.
Maud born 1899 Walthamstowe Essex
John born 1901 Chingford Essex. I have birth cert for this one.
Please, Please do any of the above feature in your tree????
Thanks,
Jenny.
