Please note although some names are listed twice with different volumes and page numbers this is not a typo on my part. This list is copied directly from the Marriage index. Some of the Clark men have been married more than once so look carefully. I have found usually the second time around they have a tendency to use just initials instead of their formal name. I will be providing the female Clark Marriages in the near future. Any questions pertaining to this list may be directed to <mailto:jsbeatty@columbus.rr.com>jsbeatty(a)columbus.rr.com

Greetings Folks ~
Has anyone ever had contact with the owner of this website . . .
KEEPING TRACK - GENEALOGY OF THE CLARK FAMILY

<sigh>
I think this is, a wonderful and informative website you . . . and I
really enjoy reading up on the Historical endeavors of those who came
together and formed this wonderful country of our's . . .
My reason for contacting the owner of this web site is . . . they
indicated they had additional info on a Levi Clark b. 1837 Ohio, their
data shows, listed as a son of Daniel Zelith (Zeliph) Clark and
Elizabeth Ann Sutton . . .
Does anyone have any info. on this Levi ? ?
Also does anyone know how to get the attention of this website owner ? ?

It may very well be, Harry, but the Michigan census in which I found Rowland's name indicates birth in NY, 1794. Quite a coincidence, though. Maybe there was a well-known novel in 1790's with the first name Rowland? Or maybe a public figure? Does any of our great historians on this board know the answer to that?

Hello,
I recently had someone do a lookup for me for my gggrandfather, David Fenton Clark. She was able to provide me with information on the Clark family from Braintree, Orange, VT with Charles A. Clark as head of the household, Chloe as his wife, Charles L., David F., Rasaltha, Orlando B. & Edward B. I think I'm on the right track because I did a search for Charles A. Clark with his wife Chloe's given name on www.familysearch.com and found a Charles married to a Chloe in Braintree, VT in 1837, 2 years before my gggrandfather was born. I am finding quite a bit more on Chloe's side of the family (Flint) but nothing further on Charles.
If anyone sees a connection to any of their Clarks please let me know. Thanks.

Sally ,
Thanks for the information and the response. It let's me know
that my posts are being read. If you ever come across any Clarks from the
Orange, Cayuga, Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tioga, Tompkins, or Chautauqua
Counties New York vicinity in this the Medina area, in the Middle 1800's,
please alert me. I may have some tie. I still have two sons of Elias,
Josiah and James, that I have no clue where they went or ended up. There
are also a couple of offspring of Peter and Hannah Taylor Clark that are
missing ( I can not document ). Thanks and have a great day.

Deborah,
Do you in your dad's siblings have a Ruth May, Lulah Bell or Birdie Clark?
I have been looking for them and not finding anything connected to them.
Birdie was my grandmother and she was born in 1882 and died in 1909. I know
my mother wrote to an Aunt Ruth in Portland, Oregon for many years. I found
a picture of a Ruth May and Lulah Bell Clark and figure this must be
Birdie's sisters. I don't know the parents or other siblings. I did find
the name of George W. Clark in her picture album, but the picture is
missing. Her name was under the frame next to it and her picture was
missing also. She is buried in Fulton County, KY. That is in extreme
southwestern KY. Any help appreciated.
Thanks,

> Yes, Robert Dandridge Clarke was indeed my grandfather, we have several
birth dates for him, and he was born c. 1834-6. I have his bible for his
second family where he recorded my father’s name. My dad is the very last of
all his children being born in 1908 when my grandfather was in his
seventies. My grandmother was much younger then he. She was twenty years
old and he was in his fifties when they married and I also have the original
newspaper article announcing their marriage, and we also have letters he
wrote to her and her wedding dress is now in a museum in Oklahoma for
wedding dresses and dresses of the 1800's. His first wife’s name was Laura
Morgan and his second wife’s name was Charlotte (Lottie) Belle Watkins. I am
50 years old. My dad was nearly 40 when he started his family. John Burton
Clarke was a half brother to my dad Wilfred Luke Watkins Clarke. Tell me
more about your grandfather. It sounds like we may be cousins. If we are I
w!
> ill shout for joy!!!!!! Grandpa lived in new Kent County and is buried on
the old farm now owned by Mary Fisher Bryant, whose grandfather bought the
old farm for granddad. I sure wish the family owned the farm it is indeed
beautiful. My mom and Dad and sister and I cleared His grave as it was now
longer marked and old Arthur Christian who had been born as one of
grandfathers slaves and who helped to did his grave showed us where he was
buried along with Laura and several of the children who died as children or
infants. Mr. Fisher ran pig farms and the pigs were rutting around on the
graves so we put a fence around it to keep them out. We also got a veterans
head stone to mark his grave so if ever any others ever decided to visit his
grave then they could find it. Old "uncle "Arthur died in the later 1960's
If not for him and our family now one would know where they all were buried.
Oh please tell me we are cousins, tell me anything you know.

I would like to re-post my interests. This Robert CLARK b1716 in Dorset or
Devon, moved to Cuckolds Cove, Newfoundland in the mid 1700s and was buried
there on Dec. 26, 1819. I have all the information following his
immigration, but none before. He may have been related to Messrs. Clark and
Sons of Trinity, Newfoundland, whose business, based in Weymouth, was
bankrupt in 1780. He married "Vine" apparently after he arrived in
Newfoundland.
My parents researched Robert in the Exeter and Dorchester Records Offices
with no luck at all but I hope I may connect with someone. Thanks!
