Dear All
I am new to this list and would like to post my interest in the CLARK name.
MY maternal Grandmother was Gladys Muriel CLARK
Gladys was born in Bristol in 1900 the 5th child of William Joseph CLARK and
Louisa Elizabeth PEARCE.
William Joseph was also born in Bristol but his parents and some of his
siblings wer born in Regil (Rudgehill) Smerset near Winsford. the 3rd of
eight children, severn of which were boys.
Williams Father Joseph was born in Regil in 1842 and married Mary Jane ??
from neighbouring Nempnett Thrubwell.
Joseph appears to have been the only boy of 13 children born to Peter CLARK
and his wife Ann.
I think that Peter was born in about 1808 and according to the census was
born in Rowberrow Somerset.
Does anyone have any interest inthis family I would be thrilled to hear from
someone.
I am doing this research from Australia and would wellcome any contact or
tips on where to go from here.
Regards from Melbourne.
Christine Stone

Your letter states that you have info on a great number
of CLARKS. I would be interested in knowing if you have any
information on this family.
Stephen CLARK, born March 1745, married Mary (?), born
October 1764. Their child, Benjamin, born February 1767,
maried Bridget PALMER. Their child, Daniel, married Polly
BRIGGS. Their children were James Daniel, Albert and
Betsy.
James was born in New York and moved to Arian, MI
about 1835. The family moved again in 1844 to Big Foot
Praire, WI. He was married in 1846. His wife and baby
died in 1847. The family moved to Reedsburg, WI in 1849.
In 1850, James left for California where gold had been
discovered. He returned to Reedsburg four years later,
and in June 1857, married Clarinda CARVER. Their
children were Frank, Irving, Charles and Albert.
Thanks,
Steve McCarthy

I have a 16,800 Clark name data base, (born before 1800). I could not
find Eli, Isaac, or Samuel or their spouses. Do you have the names &
dates & spouses of the 12 kids of Samuel? I may have some of them from
other researchers and can furnish some contacts and more info to assist
your research. I have a lot of Loyalist Clark lines in my data base....

I am trying to locate information on Joseph CLARK b c 1788 in PA. His second
wife was Elizabeth Asken (Askren) b c 1802. Joseph was in the War of 1812.
Information I have says that Joseph has a brother Caleb b 1805 in OH (?).
Joseph and Elizabeth had a daughter Ann b Mar 1841 in Indiana who married
Valentine Apple (married 23 Aug 1867). If you have any information on Joseph
