connect you with some other researchers or supply some other data that
you may not have....

George Rogers Clark never married. There are some old DAR papers that are
wrong that someone did for membership before they had to have
documentations. That ladies file has since been closed. My ancestor is
Joseph Clark and Julia Groves. Joseph Clark is dead by 1811 and Julia
marries William Abney. I come from the Wallace Clark and Mary Abney line.

I just finished reading FROM SEA TO SHINING SEA by. James Alexander Thom.
I can't remember who recommended the book on this list but wanted to say if any Clark researcher evens suspects their ancestors might tie into this line, it is well worth reading and highly entertaining.
Which brings me to my question:
In the front of the book is a genealogy chart of the family. Has anyone on the list ever brought the chart forward??
It would be interesting to see.
The reason I ask is because in the book one of the newer Clarks mentioned was GEORGE WASHINGTON CLARK...I have reason to believe that this might tie into my grandfather George W. Clark.
If anyone is researching this line I am most anxious to compare notes.
Thanks,
C Mathews

I am just getting started on my Clarke family genealogy, and truly do
not have much information to go on. Looking for any information that
might be useful.
Julius Clark was born in Nassau, Bahamas, probably around 1860-70.
Married Julia Henry, born in Ireland. They apparently had several
children, but I only have information on one, John Raymond Clark, who
was my grandfather (I think other children names may have been Frank,
Arthur, Robert). I believe JRC was born ~1890 or so in Waltham MA, and
died 13 Jan 1937 in San Diego. When JRC moved west, he added an "e" to
the last name. Married Elizabeth Johanna Ebert who was born in 1895 or
96. JRC and EJE had three children, Alison, John (Jack) and Francis
(who is my father).
If anyone has any information on this branch of the Clark/es, I would
greatly appreciate it. I am cross-posting this to the Clark listserver
as well. Thank you!! Janet Clarke
Hello,
I am new to the list, and am looking for any information for Pearl Lila
Clark, from Milford Connecticut. She was married to Chilean Dickerson, but
he was her second husband. Her children were Charles Clark, Chester Clark,
Fredrick Clark, Clair Clark, and another girl, but I do not have her name.
Clair Helen Clark married Peter Bernard Nelson in Milford Connecticut in
1955. They had 3 children
Linda Hope Nelson , Peter Bernard Nelson Jr, and Cherie Elizabeth Nelson. I
am Linda and just starting to research my genealogy. Any imformation would
be greatly apprectiated.

I have lost your email add. You wrote RE: Noah Clarke, asking how I figured
the Clarke family came from MASSACHUSETTS. I have a family letter dated Jan.
23, 1925, with that info from Richard Watson Clarke b. 10/22/1840 in
Stoyestown (sp), PA. In it he is telling the family history to another
younger brother and states that the family came from MASSACHUSETTS, in the
early 1700's, kept migrating going to NY, NJ and finally PA.
Please let me know how this might work into your family of Clarkes.

I have lost your email add. You wrote re: a Noah Clarke, asking how I
figured the Clarke family came from MS. I have a family letter dated Jan.
23, 1925 with that info from Richard Watson. Clarke b. 10/22/1840 in
Stoyestown (sp), PA. In it he is telling the family history to another
younger brother and states that the family came from MS, in the early 1700's,
kept migrating going to NY, NJ and finally PA.
Please let me know how this might work into your family of Clarkes.
