William Clark, died 1818, "A Soldier of the Revolution" according
to his gravestone, is buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery,
"near Lakeville", Geneseo Co., NY. Any information about William
would be appreciated.
Buried in the same cemetery is Rodman Clark, b. 12 Feb 1764 at
Voluntown, CT., d 28 Nov 1856 in Geneseo Co., NY. Rodman was
also a veteran of the Revolutionary War. His parents were William
and Mary (Tefft) Clark.
It is possible that William and Rodman are brothers. The William
Clark who was Rodman's brother was b. 11 Oct 1757 at Richmond,
Kings (later Washington) County, RI.
Thank you in advance, Tom Clarke

John F. Clark, born around 1817 in Georgia, found on the 1860 Walton County
Florida census at age 43, died in 1889 in Santa Rosa County Florida. John
married Sarah Watson and was father to Quintine and Sophronia (b. Alabama)
and Sarah (b. Florida).
John was a minister.
He is somehow connected to Charles F. Clark born about 1850 in Alabama.
charles married Sarah Elizabeth Bolton in 1871 in Santa Rosa County,
Florida, and he died there after 1902.
This family has eluded me for years, and any clues would be greatly
appreciated.

My g-g-grandfather was JOSEPH S. CLARK married to HARRIET. Their daughter EELA VIRGINIA CLARK (b. 1860's)
married FRANK EVELAND in 1883 and had one survivng son, FRANK WINSOR EVELAND.
The Eveland family was probably originally from NJ, but my grandfather, Frank Winsor was raised in New York. I have
no idea of the origins of the Clark family and the above is the only scant information I have - so little idea where to start
looking.
If anyone has any connections with these Clarks, I would love to hear from them.
Thanks

Dear Donna,
Just saw your query on Clarke-Lrootsweb.com. John Lawson Clark is a brother
of Thomas Anderson Clark, my ancestor. The Clark family migrated into
middle TN in 1818 or 1819. Their father was Leonard Clark. Thomas Anderson
Clark was born in Halifax Co., VA abt 1810/1811.
There were 13 children in all. Thomas Anderson Clark stayed in Smith Co.,
TN (Smith Co. and Wilson Co. are next to each other) Four brothers
migrated to Crittenden Co., KY at about the same time John Lawson Clark and
his in-laws migrated to MO. Very shortly I will post the information I have
on this family to the Clarke Rootsweb site, but until I do please check my
family page on FTW under Thomas Anderson Clark.

Does anyone have any information on the Thomas Clarke who was on the
1754-58 tax list for Lebanon Township, Lancaster Co. PA? John and Abraham
Clarke were also on the list as was a Jacob Meyer. All of these names also
showed up in Fayette Co KY in the late 1700s, as did Christian Kaufman and
Elizabeth Clarke.
If anyone has any information on these people or can connect them with the
ones in KY I would appreciate hearing , and sharing.

Folks; I look for three things in a query; name, date and location. I also
like to see some of the records checked. Rarely do I read past the first
paragraph if I went past the Subject line so don't waste it.
What happened to Casper Clark?
b. Nov 1889 Lane Co., OR
I was unable to find him in any census after the 1900 census of Lane Co., OR.
Last mention of him is in father's, John William Clark, probate file before
1910. Not found in SSDI nor OR death Ix. He was the only surviving male
descendant of Rufus Clark his grandfather and a direct descendant of James
of New Haven colony.
His orphaned and only cousin, Ardilla Maud PRITCHETT, also of Lane Co., OR
also disappears about the same time as did the aged grandmother, Margaret
Jane Clark wid/o Rufus that I found Ardilla last living with. No OR nor
Lane Co. marriage found for Ardilla. Guardian record was no help.
It appears that they all left the state. No mention of them in any obits
for distant cousins nor grand-relatives.
Thanks,
Gary

My most wanted Clark is Wesley W. Clark. The only place he has been found
is the 1910 Census of Marion County, MS. He was listed as being 63 years
old and residing with his son Jesse Clark who was age 20 at the time.
Wesley W. Clark had I don't know how many children, but on was my
grandfather Walton Theophilus Clark who was born in Marion county MS Feb.
11, 1869. I don't have a name for Wesley's wife either.
I would appreciate any help that anyone can give me.

Carla,
Joshua Clark was born 1801 Graham Creek IN. He had 2 brothers Wm. and
James and 2 sisters Katie and Lucy. His mother died around 1820 because
Joseph remarried in 1822 in Decatur Co. (I think) maybe Ripley. I don't have
my paper in front of me. Do you know any names or dates of your Clarks?
I could probably tell you more if I knew that.

I had planned on sharing my deeds with rootsweb and the counties involved. I
received this info from a relative a few years ago and since he had researhed
these lines so much I stared on others. I drug them out and decided to work
on these lines . I have other info I plan on sharing also.
Thanks for your idea.

Hi, all!
Just a thought here--posting deeds, wills, etc. to the list is a great way to
share information. However, have any of you donated these same items to the
USGenWeb Archives Project? It's a great place to share what you have with the
whole world. I've sent several items to various counties and have met several
"cousins" who found what I'd donated.
