Still looking for any info on Esther. Called around and there doesn't seem to be any records (birth/death) for her. No obit online either. After a little sleuthing, I think that she may have come from Spencerville, NY. I know that she had a sister, Tharina Clark Atwell and with this info, can now confirm that her mother's name was Catherine. Catherine is buried next to Esther & Jonas Rockefeller in Schenectady. I believe that Esther may have had a brother, William as well. Esther's son was Spencer Alpheus Rockefeller and normally a first born son may have been named after a family member. There isn't anyone on the Rockefeller side with those names, so I'm wondering if Esther was born to either a Spencer Clark or Alpheus Clark.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying very hard to find information about James Lionel Clark, son of Thomas James Clark and Frances Chaudoin Clark of Green County, KY. He was born in 1879, possibly in Ft. Worth, TX, and married briefly to Georgia Erma Wells. They divorced in 1908, shortly after the birth of a daughter, Jessica. Jessica and a brother Bruce were put in the KY Children's Home in Louisville, and quickly given up for for adoption and their names were changed. Jessica never saw her mother or brother again.

I do not know where Poinsett County is but several Clark families from Lawrence and Morgan County, Alabama left there about 1840 to 1860 and moved to Tenn for a short time then into Lawarence Co, Arkansas-------james clark

Something does not add up. How can Wm Clark be born in 1840 & have a Father born in 1831? Do you mean 1821?
Wm & Rose daughter Lucy Elizabeth has an Eleanor Lamonte as a baptism sponsor. Most of the children have Veilleux or Valliere baptism sponsors.
How did you find the Eaton Bay, Bedforshire, England location? What shows his mother as Eleanor Lamont?

It is believed but unproven that Eleanor Lamonte could be the mother of Rose Veilleux (Vigue).
I have William & Margaret Rellum Clarke of Eaton.
SON:
William Thomas Clark AKA:Wiliam Henry Clark b in Dec 1839 bapt July 19,1841 saying he was born 17 months before baptism at St. Columban de Sherbrooke married Rose Veilleux (Vigue) somewhere in P. Quebec betw 1860 & 1864since 1st child to them was born in 1866.
William & Roses son:
William Thomas Clark AKA: William Henry Clark married Elfie Hatch, He was born Dec 11, 1874 in Ascott, Sherbrooke, PQ. I list Ascott since that is where he with parents & siblings were found in the Canadian census. He was baptised at St Michel de Sherbrooke Dec 20, 1874.
I have the Clark family coming to New Hampshire in 1878. I could not ocate William & Roses deaths. I thought William died in 1903 in Littleton with Burial in Glenwood like William 2 & 3 children but now I question that since the cem has no record of his death plus you seem to have found william & Rose in Carroll,Coos County where they resided in 1880 census.
I have siblings & children for William 2 & 3. Grandchildren, great grandchildren plus for William 3.

Our records are similar but I have Eleanor Lamont as the mother of William Henry Clark, born 15 Nov 1840 in Canada.
I have moved on to other lines but have William's father as William Clark, b. 6 Sep 1831 in Eaton Bay, Bedfordshire, England and d. 18 Mar 1881 in Carroll, New Hampshire. Hope this helps.

I have found several mentions of Cornelius Clark. You might try http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ny/county/chenango/books/shr-ras1.htm/ It is 22 pages long; also www.getnj.com/hudessex/hudessex18shtml;Shenandoah valley pioneers and their descendants: a history of...-Google Books Result;and in New York Genealogical Records, 1675-1920 shos Cornelius Clark Lived 1776 in County Westchester New York, Second Regiment, Source New York in the Revolution as Colony and State, Vol. 1-Extracts page 207. I can't put my handes on it, but I remember seeing a notice that he had escaped from prison in Philadelphia, I believe. It mentioned the places he had relatives. These records may refer to more than one Cornelius Clark. Mine turned out to be (maybe) the son of Goshen Clark of Pasquotank County, N. Carolina, who apparently arrived there by UFO. Good luck.
