I don't know if there's any relation, but a John Clark from CT moved to
Oneida and is buried there with his wife, I believe. He had a son
Russell who later moved to Ohio. I can provide more info about this
family if you're interested.

The information I have is that my Chauncey Clark died in Salina, Onondaga, New York, where he had lived for sometime. My family information says he was born in 1779, although I do not know where.
Beginning with Justus, my family has lived in Wisconsin. Justus moved to WI around 1843, before statehood in 1848.
Any information you think might help me would be greatly appreciated. I have been spinning my wheels on this one for months. So frustrated am I, that I even gave up for several months. I just had to step away to clear my mind. Now I'm back at it and becoming increasingly frustrated again.
My email address is woody0211(a)msn.com

My Clark's as far back as I can find which is not very far, are from SC, the

I think there are many from the south and I can't get past Wood Clark, Wood
Strain Clark, his son and my ggrandfather John Brooks Clark. It is just so
frustrating.

There is a book concerning the Clarks, it can be found on Ancestry, it is called the The Clark Geneology, some desendants of Daniel Clark, it may be helpful. A lot of the Clarks originated from Medfield, Massachusetts...

I need help! Justus Blackstone Clark was my 2x great-grandfather. He was supposedly born in Vermont somewhere between 1799 and 1812, although he lists many different states as his birthplace on census records as well as different birthdates. He had three wives, Emma Hollister, Matilda Carver and Anna Patterson, and 18 children.
I am told that his father was Chauncey Clark(e), who lived in Salina, Onondanga, NY. On census records, Justus lists his father's place of birth as Vermont.
I can find no concrete information on Chauncey, which appears to be a very common name in the 18th century. What I have from other family members tells me that he married Ann Eggleston, although I have found info that says his wife was Rhoda Stone. I do not know if Justus had any other siblings either.
If anyone can connect the dots for me on this branch of my family tree, I would be grateful.
My thread is as follows: Georgia Clark (me), George A. Clark, Jasper Herbert Clark, Thomas Jefferson Clark, Justus Blackstone Clark, Chauncey Clark.

I am looking for anyone who may be willing to help research a Clark/Clarke line from Alabama to Louisiana. The first paper trail starts in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana 1853, marriage license of Joel Clark and Mary "Polly" Harmon; 1863 Census shows Joel is 35, resident of Little River, Catahoula Parish, Louisiana, a planter, and was born in Alabama. My father wanted to know who his great-great grandfather was, but he died in 1997 not knowing. I am 55 years old, and would like to at least find that name to leave for my children. Please, could someone help me?
Please email me if you are interested.

Do you have any other info on George W. Clark? I'm researching Joel Clark, believed to have been born in Alabama. Joel shows up in Louisiana, married to Mary "Polly" Harmon on 31 March 1853, and then in 1860 Census for Catahoula Parish, Louisiana -- Joel 35 and Mary 26. States Joel was a planter and born in Alabama. It's believed Joel had a brother, Stephen C. Clark, b 15 June 1836, as that name and date of birth shows up in a family Bible. We have been searching for Joel's parents for quite some time. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm looking for information for a woman named Ann Elisha Clark. Her middle name may have been Alisha (found spelled both ways). She was born 1845-1849 in New York to Hiram S. Clark and Abigail Hardy. She was twice married, but her first husband's name remains unknown to me. Her second husband was Joseph Abrams, b. 1841 in Michigan. They were married about 1889.
Ann's parents moved from Hinsdale, Cattaragus Co., NY to Carroll Co., IL about 1848 and then moved to Rice Co., MN about 1857. After her father's death (1860-1869), her mother and brother William moved to Minneapolis. I found Ann and Joseph Abrams living in Minneapolis in 1900, 1905 and 1910. Ann died in Bloomington, Hennepin Co., MN in 1912.
Joseph Abrams was married 3 times and had two daughters, Alice May (b. 1879) and Charlotte B. (b. 1883).
