I see the designation "Native" for race in the census. Does this mean the person is Native American? Others who are entered as there from birth are entered as Irish or Scotch, so I'm not sure what the native designation means. Thanks for your help, Gladys

We found the obituary for Tommy Lee Clark, and have made contact with one of our siblings, Shannon, in Oklahoma City.
His Obituary reads:
"Tommy Lee 'LUCKY" Clark, age 66, of Logan, NM, passed on Nov. 11, 2007 in OkC, peacefully at home, after a bout with cancer. He was a professional musician by the age of 14 and was an early exponent of the Tulsa Sound. He played bass with renowned musicians, such as Leon Russell, J.J. Cale, Rocky Frisco, Conway Twitty, Jerry Lee Lewis, Lonnie Mack, Jesse Garcia, and many more. He went on to play with the Suzi Arden band for many years in Las Vegas and surrounding areas. It was actually said that he would have been one of the best known 'icons" of our day. But he had other plans that no one would understand. He had the chance to be so big, but his motto was party first, think later. He was good friends with Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings and many more. He's been named as one of Oklahoma's notables in the musicians guide. He was also known for writing the ballad of Lieutenant Cally, which released Lieutenant William Cally from prison, after the song hit the charts. He was !
a great musician that everyone knew and will miss. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Clark and Loraine Jackson; brothers, Terry Leroy, Charles Arthur; and sister, Vicky Rawson. He is survived by step- mom, Zona Clark; son, Lonnie; daughters, Shannon Perry of TX, Shannon Shuffield and husband Joe of OKC, and Calista Clark; grandchildren, Starry, Sonny, and Kansas Clark, Devin and Christian Leach and Emmanuel and Kelsey Carter; and many neices and nephews."

There is a famous Clark family I know of in Ontario -- my great great grandfather on my mother's side, William Robinson Clark who was a theologian at the University. He was born in SCotland, became an Anglican Bishop (Wells) in England and emigrated to Canada in about 1860. If this helps you, it will also help me because the Robinson Clark family seem ignorant of my side of the family as my grandfather Arthur Gordon Lyon Clark fell out with his father William Lyon Clark ( afterwards William Lyon Lyon-Clark by Deed Poll).

Although I should be sad the man passed away without ever having met him, he never took the time or trouble to find out anything about the two children he fathered in Shreveport, Louisiana back in the 60s, or that Melissa had four very amazing and successful children of her own-his grandchildren. So no, I will not be mourning his death since we never knew him...which is evidently how he wanted it. I'm sure my sister is wondering if we have any "half" siblings. I suspect if we do, "Lucky" never told them about me and Melissa. I am a career military officer and married to a wonderful woman from North Carolina. Melissa and her family are doing very well with their businesses in Shreveport. I am as proud of Melissa's kids as if they were my own-Hunter has been accepted to both Georgetown and Duke Law Schools and trying to decide which to attend, while Jay is already in LSU Law School. Lila and Casey are still in High School in Shreveport. If anyone has any more information about!
"Lucky", please post it here.
