Hello,
I love to watch the "Antiques Roadshow," and this week one of the people
bringing in items for appraisal brought in some Civil War canteens. And,
an Abraham CLARK from the 1700's, and a William from the 1800's, both
important "signers" of documents. If I understood correctly, it is the
same family.
Just thought I'd offer this as an FYI:

Betty (near Lowell, MA)
(Researching my "concrete-block wall," James CLARK, who "appears" in RI in
~1827, and "disappears" from MA in ~1844) (and a possible descendant,
William CLARK, alive in ~1900-1910)

Hi Trina,
I have recently started trying to find out about my father's side of the family, and I came across your message. My dad's name is Bobby Clark, and I'm sad to say he passed away back in 2001. The only other living relative I know of his is his brother, Clifford, but I've always known him as my Uncle Buck. My grandparents are also named Robert and Ida. I hope you get this message, because I would love to talk to you.
Sincerely,
Anissa Clark White

Dianna,
I looked at the entry you referred to in Volume 7 and then checked the pension file of Field Clark to see if I could find any further information. I am attaching a copy of the actual Bible page in his file, I thought you might like to have it for your records. It appears that a certification of its authenticity was attached to the right side of the page, which may be covering other entries that could help sort out the family. The Bible page was submitted to provide proof of the widow's marriage and the soldier's (Field Clark) death, which would allow the widow to collect her late husband's pension. Any other information on the page, or in the Bible itself, was not needed, so it was not submitted.
There was no further family information in the file, which was only 14 pages in length. I hope you have found some other information by now.

I would be related to your Medfield Clarks, and you are most likely related to the Richardsons of Medfield. Dave Clark and I match up at 37 markers exactly, but that's because he has an ancestor who was born a Richardson and adopted by the Clark family. They were relatives, as well as adopted parents. Write me directly, if you'd like to compare ancestors! gar3131(a)msn.com
