Does anyone have info on the following family listed in the 1880 census:
Nancy Moon -age 29 - believe her maiden name could be Fowler or Towler,
Cora Moon - 8 mos,
William Moon - age 3,
William possibly married a "Rilla Pyles" and stayed in North Carolina.
The family is living with Brooks Clark (age 29) and his daughter Evy Lee (age 4 months) at the time of the census.

Milton, a date range would help. Was your grandfather in his 40's in the 70's when he died, or in his 90's? Your mother's first name? Were they married and divorce, were you adopted? Do you know how old your dad was when you were born? And how old are you? 13 or 40? These dates would give someone familiar with the family a time frame to look in. Thanks, Heather

Thanks to fellow researchers, and for the benefit of others, I now know that Howard Bernard Clark, husband of Marion Frances Smith (1909-?), was born c. 1908 in Quispamsis, New Brunswick, to Nathan Ernest Clark (1871-1935) and Cynthia Kathleen Elizabeth Bernard (1874-1954), both of New Brunswick. Howard Bernard Clark's siblings reportedly include:
Kathleen M. Clark (1896-?)
Walter L. Clark (1899-?)
Norman Ernest Clark (1900-?)
Melvin Clark (1902-?)
Hazel Mae Clark (1904-?) m. in 1928 Harry Leonard Messer (1902-1975)
Gordon Clark (1905-?)
Cynthia Vivian Clark (1913-?) m. in 1943 Frederick Allan Appleby (1912-?)
Nathan Ernest Clark (1871-1935) was the son of Nathan and Jane Clark.
Cynthia Kathleen Elizabeth Bernard (1874-1954) was the daughter of George and Emily Bernard.
I would welcome additional information about these lines from anyone else who's familiar with them!

Rhonda,
I am researching Clarks from KY, however, I don't know the county they came from. William A. Clark was born KY 1825 and appears in Shannon Co., MO on the 1850 census. His oldest son, John, was on 1850 census but ?dies before 1860 census. William names his last/youngest child John also. William was married to Cynthia Christine Bradley. They lived in Shannon, Phelps and Dent Counties MO.
Any help/information will be appreciated.

I am looking for information on John Clark born in Alabama circa 1875? He married Lilla Pearl Peters in Texas and had three children, Jack, Gladstone and Lula Bell. He left Lilla and the children when they were still very young. He worked for the railroad. He was last known to live in Houston, Texas with his wife (not Lilla)between 1946-1948.

There is a rather exhaustive study book writen by S.A. Perry and it is titles "Clark Family Records" and was published in Camden, South Carolina date unspecified. The back of the book is a treasure trove of reference books the author used for his research. You may want to try and find a copy of it at a local library. It may well be worth your while to read it.
I am still looking for my wayward Clark/Conoly/Conley/Chambers (my family has the letter C sewed up in the alphabet-lol) family members in the wilds of Tennessee and Kentucky.
Let me know if you find the book. If not write back and I'll try to scan it(55 pgs) and email it to you.
Joe

Joe, I finally remembered to reply to your reply to my inquiry!! My ancestors include Thomas Madden Clark > John Bascomg Clark > Leonard Douglas Clark > Bert William Clark (my father). Other than a blue Clark Genealogy book written in 1955 (with many errors) I don't know of any new, more accurate ones of the Clarks. Do you know of any and how I can get it?
Thanks,
Lisa

I was wondering if there were any experts on the family of Willim Clark and his siblings. William Clark was the partner of Mariwether Lewis in the Lewis and Clark Expedition out of Pittsburgh. I am mostly interested in Ann Clark and Lucy Clark and their relatives plus William Clarks son Meriwether Lewis Clark who went to West Point with Robert E Lee class of 1829/1830.

I am researching the Boatman family of Highland Co., OH. For years I've wondered who the little Clark girls were that were found living with my g-g-grandparents on the 1850 census for Jackson Township, Highland Co., OH. My g-g-grandparents were Henry and Leah MARQUISS Boatman.
Besides their own large family they had living with them Lucinda Clark, age 13, and Sarah Clark, age 7. Both b.in OH.
In the 1840 census, a Christopher Clark and family were neighbors to my Boatmans.
Last night I found a copy of page 284 of a book (I think the name is) "Marriages of Highland Co., Ohio." In 1835 an Elizabeth Boatman married a Christopher Clark. This was a big find!!!
The parents of my above mentioned g-g-grandfather were Elias and Mary "Polly" KINNER Boatman. There has always been a couple of gaps in this family's group sheet. They had eight known children - but I only have names and information for six. The oldest child is my g-g-grandfather Henry Boatman. The next to oldest child I BELIEVE is Elizabeth BOATMAN Clark. The fact that my g-g-father took in his younger sister's kids makes sense.
I don't believe the Clark girls continued to live with Boatman family.
If any of this line is connected to you or you have any information - please response.

Right, but as far as I can his family lived in the same town. There were 2 Asa Clark families very near by, and both of them had older and younger children than Timothy still living at home. Perhaps that's the answer, neither one of them would have been his family?
Thanks, Heather
