I have an obit for Granville G. Clark 1850-1919 from Wabasha County, MN. In it it mentions "those visiting who attended the services were a Mrs. T. J. Hudson of Kansas City". Granville's wife was Addie Gertrude Hudson....they had 3 sons, Roy S. of St. Paul, Harry D. of St. Paul and Guy H. of Wabasha. Addies parents were Aaron G. Hudson and Hannah Sutherland. Does anyone know anything about T. J. Hudson of Kansas City, i.e., parent's names, date of birth, anything. Thanks

My father was Samuel K. Clark of Providence, Kentucky. His father was William Wood Clark.
My grandmother was Sarah I believe and they lived in Providence during the farming season and went to Missouri to cut wood in the fall after harvest, I believe.

Have recently found the parents names to my GGG Grandfather - David Clark b.31 Dec 1836 - St. John Moulsham, Chelmsford - It appears the family has/have lived in Essex for a while. I was hoping to find family still there and or any information about the family history. Photos of headstones etc, anything basically to help us with our family history records.
William married Mary Sams ( I have conflicting records that her name was Mary Sims).
His son, David, moved to Australia (where I reside) and I am chasing details of the family here.
I would greatly appreciate any information of the family from England. And am happy to provide information on the family from this side of the world.
We recently found a crucifix that may have been owned by the Clark's or Davids wife (Catherine Walsh).
Also, was it common for the name Clark to be changed to Clarke? In error or on purpose?
Thanking you in advance,
Kind Regards
Cait

I am searching for more information on Rosanah Clark, age 49, who appears in the 1860 census for Tyrone Township, Blair County, PA. I believe she would have probably resided in the Sinking Valley area. Living with her is Emmeline Clark, age 24. I suspect Emmeline is either Rosanah's daughter or daughter in law. Also living with them is George Isett, age 26, who is listed as a farm laborer.
Emmeline Clark eventually married or had children with George Isett. George died during the civil war. Emmeline went on to live with/marry William Yon, and appears in the 1870 census for Allegheny Township and in the 1880 census for Logan Township, Blair Co., PA. She had children with him as well.
Going back to the 1860 census, also appearing with Rosanah, Emmeline, and George are:
Cerventha Clark, age 5
Millard Clark, age 4
Joseph Clark, age 6/12
George Clark, age 2
Now, George, age 2, appears in later censuses as George Isett. So, I am assuming he was the son of Emmeline and George, and the recording of his name as Clark in 1860 was a mistake. However, someone has recently suggested that Emmeline's maiden name was PRICE. So, could this mean that she was married to one of Rosanah Clark's sons who died leaving her with the small children who appear in the 1860 census? Others have suggested the young Clark children listed in 1860 were actually all Isett children.
I would love to hear from anyone who is researching the Clark family who knows more about the family dynamics and relationships of Rosanah and Emmeline Clark. I would like to be able to verify how many times Emmeline married and whether her maiden name was Clark or Price. Being an Isett researcher, I am also curious to know more about any of these children who may have been Isetts.
Any help or clues greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Deb

You will not find the word 'county' after the Kent of England. They do not
use 'county' over there, other than with [the only one] County Durham, which
is in the north of England and/or County Cork, County Antrim etc, in
Ireland. So please, if you should make a post to the British lists, do not
use 'county'.
