Sorry, but all I have on the Clark family is listed in my forum. Was interested in John Clark because he was the second husband of my husbands great grandmother Margaret Ann Heaberlin Blevins. What I listed on the forum is what I got from census records. Wanted to know when he died as she is a widow again by 1900. Wish I could have helped you.

Very interesting -- however, that is not THIS Charles Theodore Passmore. This one died in 1856 in Illinois (Lawrence County) where I found his will, his gravestone, and his orphaned children. wonder who this guy was?

I am researching the Clarks in New York. George Willis Clark (1842) married Sarah Jane Cronk (1848) sometime before 1870. Descendents include Oliver, Ida, and Georgiana.
Thank you for any information you may have!

William G. Cutler's History of the State of Kansas
was first published in 1883 by A. T. Andreas, Chicago, IL.
ALLEN COUNTY.
In the spring of 1855 a party of Pro-slavery men from Fort Scott formed a town company and laid out a town on the high land east of the Neosho River, a short distance went of the present railroad track, and about on the north line of Section 10, Township 25, Range 18 east. The town was named Cofachique, and James Barbee was elected the first president of the company. The first to settle on the new town site was James Barbee. The Legislature in July, 1855, passed an act incorporating the Cofachique Town Association. The incorporators were Daniel Woodson, Charles Passmore, James S. Barbee, Samuel A. Williams and Joseph C. Anderson.
