My mother-in-law's great-grandfather was Clayton CLARK,
owned a great deal of land in Arkansas in the 1800's.
We have almost no information on him, but he may have
been of Cherokee/Choctaw ancestry.
Does anyone have any information on him or know of him?

Am still trying to find CLARK cousins.
The parents were:
Homer B CLARK b abt 1895, poss in TN
Gertrude (ERWIN or IRWIN) b abt 1900, prob Troy, Obion Co, TN
They had 2 known children b abt 1922-1926 who may have gone by
their middle name(s) or used a nickname:
Erwin B (possibly Bennett) CLARK b abt 1923, possibly called "Pete"
Barbara S (probably Susan, possibly called Sue) CLARK, b abt 1925
They both should have graduated between 1939-1944 (more likely
1940-1943) from a high school in the greater Nashville, TN area.
The last I have on them is in the 1930 Census in Troy, TN,
BUT - - Homer was a bank auditor / examiner (possibly working
for either a bank or the state of TN) for quite some time after 1930 and
the family is known to have lived in the Nashville area for many years,
perhaps even up into the '60's, '70's or even later.
The son, Erwin, may have been known by a nickname (possibly Pete or
something for the middle name which may have been Bennett). Erwin
also worked in a bank, possibly an officer in a bank in Nashville.
I get an unlisted number for Nashville when I check on swithboard.com.
He would be abt 82 years old now.
I have no idea at all who Sue (Barbara S b abt 1925) might have married
or
where she might be living now.
Most grateful for any additions, corrections, or help in finding any
living
descendants.
Janice
