Dear List
As we all know the name CLARK is difficult to research! I am stuck at 1804
with Thomas William Constantine CLARK baptised in St Olave, Southwark,
London to Thomas and Sarah CLARK. Why did they use Constantine? This name
has stayed in the family ever since but where did it come from? There could
be a link to the surname BRIGGS but it is a long shot!
I have no idea which Thomas and Sarah CLARK. I have tried to find a
marriage and have found over 40 so far!
Does anyone out there have any link to the name Constantine? This brick
wall seems insurmountable to me.
Thanks
Kay

Phillip, do you know whether Virginia moved all the records stored in the MyFamily site to another site on the web and do you have the address for her last Clark site?
Thanks!
Donna
I am new to this list, and trying to find a Benjamin CLARK who was born in
Leeds, about 1810. He moved with his parents to Bradford when just a
couple of years old, and became a successful wool merchant.
Can anybody help, even if it is only to eliminate any Benjamin CLARK(E)s
born in the Leeds area at that time? I am completely stuck!
Regards
Margaret

Thank you.

William B. Clark.
William B. Clark is the junior in age and experience of the business men of
Wilmington. Believing that the town is big enough and smart enough to
sustain two markets, during the past year he has kept open market on
Shafter street and perambulated the hills and valleys of this pleasant
region, exchanging good meat for cash.
His two carts also cover East Dover, West Dover, Marlhoro. Jacksonville,
Whitingham and Halifax.
Mr. Clark is the former foreman of the Grain and Lumber Company and the
Wilmingtonians know that he is all right. He has a good market and his
business is increasing.
Need some help ???? look- up for any of these places
