Does anyone have any information on books published by the American
Bible Society, 1857, NY?
I realize that is a long time ago, perhaps they are still in business
and have other publications available. If not, anything like that ring a
bell that might be on line?
Thanks, Gwen

I am attempting to find parents of Sarah Clark who married John
Henderson in Halifax County, Virginia, in December 1806. Their known
children: Liddie Moore Henderson, Richard Clark Henderson, and William
T. Henderson. Was Sarah Clark the daughter of Peter Clark Sr. on Lawson
Creek, Halifax County?

Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me track down a William Lloyd Clark, probably born between 1880 and 1894, possibly in Iowa. May have moved to the Seattle area after 1915. Known to have been in or near Waterloo, Iowa in 1913.
Not much to go on, I'm at my wits end...
Thanks,
Bob Hans

I am looking for a listing of old cemeteries in Stratham, NH. In particular I am looking for the location of the graves of John Clark and his wife Rooksby (Greenleaf) Clark. I do not have dates of death for either relative, but John was born Bef. Feb 08, 1711/12 in Newberry, MA and Rooksby was born May 11, 1713 in Newberry, MA. They had the following children: John, Rooksby and Paul.
Any help locating cemeteries in Stratham where they may be buried would be greatly appreciated. I am planning a trip to NH this month and would like to locate and photograph their stones.
Thank you
Pat Thayer

Now I realize that these Two Charles Clark's don't appear to be the
same one, because on 1850 Charles Clarke is 70 and on 1860 Grayson
County, Ky 10 years Later it says the Charles Clark is 70.
Unless I read ages incorrectly.
My question is does anyone recognize these Families, could you
identify either Charles Clark. are they possibly the same guy?
Following my first submission to the Clark pages, I have had some helpfull
comments concerning inserting a subject. I herewith try again.
Many thanks for the suggestions

Hi there,
One of my direct ancestors was Abraham Clark, born 1831. He married Sarah Ann
Widger on 8/9/1856. He was an NCO in the army, his children being born in
various parts of the world. His later service was spent in Scarborough,
Yorkshire. One of his children Emily Ann Clark (28/6/1857 - 10/10/1925)
married Richard Catley on 19/12/1876 - hence my connection.
I believe that some of his children emigrated to Canada or US.
If anyone has any information I would be delighted to receive details.

Dear fellow listers:
Excuse this non-genealogical post. However, it is
in the Spirit of genealogical assistance.
Now and again anyone can "forget" to put an entry in
the subject line. However, what happens when one does
this with list posts, is that the list prepend [Clark]
does not get added. Also, if your message is also brief,
Smartlist, the software used by Rootsweb to handle the
list mail gets confused and thinks you are trying to
subscribe to the list.
I am not the admin for this list, but am for several
others. When I saw a recent message come thru as
"Unidentifed Subject!" I thought I would share my
knowledge with the list. So many of us sort or
filter by prepend and tend to ignore or delay reading
those items that don't have a prepend. Many delete
items that have no subject -- especially when the
address is "not familiar". So.... just to be sure
there are no connections lost, try to double check
for subject lines before sending. And to those of
you that delete or ignore the messages with no subject,
you might want to take a look for this recent one.
Happy Trails,
Lauren
