I am trying to locate the Clark family that was living in Bienville Parish,
LA around the 1850-60-70's. James Clark in living listed in the 1880 census
with wife Elizabeth, daughter Lou V., 1870 he is listed with his mother
Elizabeth 35 with children John D 19, James 17, Margaret 12, & Elizabeth 5.
I can't find a 1860 census for Bienville Parish, LA. Could any one help me
on this? Sure would like to find the father of these children. Any help
sure would be appreciated. Thanks Colleen in OK

Hi everyone,
Hope some of you might be interested in this site:

This is an effort to identify and list all the victims of the 1900 hurricane
in Galveston, Texas that killed so many people. There are some Clark folks
listed.
Take care - Emma
I have a quest for finding who S. E. Clark, age 46 in 1907, was. SHE married
K. Marley (Kemp Marley) 29 Aug 1907. Commissioner Jno. J. Stoboug performed
the ceremony in or near Milburn, OK or Ardmore, OK . The marriage record is
in Ardmore, OK..
I have reason to believe this is her married name - CLARK. Can anyone hlp me
identify this lady? Our family has relation to Kemp Marley. (Why didn't they
record the full names of the bride and groom??)
Should anyone want to search for a divorce record, or death record for his S.
E. Clark Marley, let me know and we will discuss a fee.
Thank you.

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had a James CLARK who was born in the general
timeframe of 1790 to 1800 anywhere on the East Coast of the US or CAN.
In the 1820's, he was in Rhode Island. When he married in Westport, MA,
in 1829, he reported that his previous residence was Little Compton, RI.
I have read that Westport and Little Compton are among a group of towns
along the MA/RI border and many of the early families knew each other.
James CLARK seems to have died during the 1840's as he did not show up on
the 1850 Census for Westport, MA, with his wife and daughter.
I have been told that a lot of Mariners lived along with MA/RI border, so
there is a small possibility that James Clark was one, and thus could have
traveled there .. from another area .. VA? PA? ME? NS?
In 1829, James married Mrs. Rhoda LAVARE (nee' MANCHESTER), and in 1837 they
had a daughter, Mary Anna CLARK. I do not know of any other children.
Probably around 1860, Mary CLARK married John DEXTER from Killingly, CT.
I have not been able to find out anything .... about John and Mary DEXTER
from ~1860 to ~1890. (very frustrating :o)
(Note: I found a reference to a James CLARK being born in Killingly, CT,
in 1783 (no names of parents). Possibility this was the connection
between Mary Clark and John Dexter, as John was born there in 1837.
????)
In 1892, having just moved to Melrose, MA, John and Mary adopted a baby
girl, who had just turned 3. They were Age 55. They re-named the girl,
from Daisy WATROUS to Mary Anna Clark DEXTER.
Thank you for your time.
Betty (near Lowell, MA)

Does anyone have any information on Anthony ClarkJr., Lawrence County Ohio?
He lived there with his wife Isabelle until about 1850 and then moved to
Sangamon County, Illinois. From there they disappear.

Re: George William Clark - born in Halifax, VT; died in Douglasville, GA
I talked to Cenie Clark yesterday and she is the wife of our missing
Uncle George! It was so thrilling to be able to talk with her. She
filled in some blanks for us and will be sending pictures of him as soon
as she is able.
Genealogy can be so frustrating and so rewarding! Thanks again for your
help! Below is a bit of his lineage. Sorry, I am not a professional.....

This has been an interesting family to research because of the
adoptions, and because some of them changed their names. In spite of it
all, the children of Percy and Florence have managed to find each other.
This was largely due to years of hard work by one person, Kahontes. The
pieces began to fall into place this summer. We believe there is a
Native American connection in this family as there are cousins who are
members of various tribes mainly within the Mohawk nation. This is our
next goal, to find the connection. Thank you all for taking the time to
read this, and for the pieces you have filled in for us. Keep up the
great work!

Hello There Fellow Researchers:
Have you any information on a Marie Clark born in Pennsylvania who married
Joseph Pretlow and passed on January 10, 1984 in Elyria or Oberlin, Ohio?
Maria Clark's parents were Nina Clark and John Clark, but I have no knowledge

Can anyone help me with the CLARK family from GUILDEN MORDEN in
Cambridgeshire?
I have found James and Emma Clark on the 1881 census living at Church Road,
Guilden Morden along with 5 children. There were at least two other
children, my great great grandfather, Joel Clark, was living with his sister
and her husband in Twickenham.
I would greatly appreciate any other information that anyone can supply.
Thank you in advance

I am trying to find information on my ancestor Robert Cleland who married
Elizabeth Clark in Newberry, SC about 1790/91. Elizabeth was the daughter
of Thomas Clark whose wife was Mary. Elizabeth Clark Cleland's oldest
brother was John Clark.
If anyone can help me with information on this family, I would really
appreciate
it as I have been trying to learn more about Robert Cleland. I can give the
other children of Thomas Clark if anyone needs them.
