My grandmother: Blanche Leona Clark, b 12-6-1896
Her parents were:
Erwin Clark and Katie Hau, married 9-15-1895 Olean, Cattauragus Co, NY
Erwin's parents, as transcribed by hand on Erwin's marriage record:
Father: John Clark and Mother: Nancy Chaflin-last name is near illegible, but it is either Chaflin or Claflin
Could these folks be in your records?

Vicki, Hi I was wondering if you had a Wenzel in your line. He lived in Penn. but don't believe he originated there. His line is from Autria/Hungrary. He spelt his last name on his marriage record as Paulick. But spelt it later on as Paulik.
I hope you can help. Thank you, Denise

I don't think we are related. My CLARKs came from RI to Saint John,NB in 1783. For awhile they lived in the Westfield / Oak Point,Kings Co. area and later in West Saint John, known as "Carleton". I have accounted for all the descendants named James who were born around the same time yours was and there are no matches. Thanks anyway:) I hope you find yours.

Marge- You may be related to my husband. His gggrandparents were Mary Painton born in Scotland and William Clark born in Ireland. According to a very brief family history handed down to him, their children were William, Howard, whose wife was Minnie, and Mary Clark Nick. There could have been more children.
The son, William, is his ggrandgather. William H. Clark(born in Aug., 1848 in PA) married Elizabeth or Lena Derr and they had nine children-John, Mary Adelade (Mamie) Kintz, George, Cora Hadley, Lena Erion Lauch, Maude Adams, Eva Lusk, Myrtle Klagus and Clarence.
This Clark family seemed to move back and forth from Howard County, Iowa to the Viola, WI area. Grandmother Mamie was born Sept. 15, 1876 near Bonair which is only a few miles from Cresco, IA. Let me know if you match up with any of the above Clarks. My e-mail is lorraine(a)dakota2k.net.

Thank you so very much. I use Mother's name because if any family still living saw it they might recognize the name Doris.
What is the name of said book and what company sells it? I will certainly buy it. I will try anything at this point of the game.
Sincerely,
