Judy: This particular William Clark was one of the first settlers of
Haddam, CT. in the 1600's.
This list was created by Jane Devlin for the purpose of exchanging
information about this William Clark's line.
For other Clark ancestors, I would just subscribe to:
CLARK-L-request(a)rootsweb.com.

I don't have any information about the relatives you have listed, but I
wonder if you are assuming that William Clark of Haddam is somehow
related to the Clark of Lewis and Clark.
I don't believe that there is any connection, but I would be happy to be
proved wrong. George Rogers Clark (1752-1818) and his brother William
Clark (1770-1838) were sons of John Clark and Ann Rogers who were large
property owners and residents of VA before moving to KY where they also
owned a huge amount of property.
Nancy Vogt
I realize that there is no relationship between "my Clark" and Lewis & Clark
fame

more information on the James Preston CLARK b. 12/1870 who married Sarah
Elizabeth "Betty" STEPHENSON resided in Kanawha County, West VA
Sarah Elizabeth STEPHENSON might also be Indian related. (has been said that
she was 3/4 Indian which might mean 1/2 Indian from one side of family and
1/4th Indian from the other or an error in the fraction itself)
CLARK, Chapman Taylor b. abt 1846 in West VA
he was a blacksmith, hung himself in Moline, Illinois
married to Elizabeth A. PARRY (or PERRY) (her middle name probably Ann,
might also have gone by Eliza)
