I recently wrote Jane, before joining this forum, about my trip to NY's Genesee & Orleans Counties last fall. While there I did a lot of Cemetery visits and found a Peletiah Clark stone. He died in 1885, I believe. I can check my video tapes. Does anyone have this second (younger) Peletiah Clark in the family?

I'm not Tracy, but I have a CONE line in Haddam also, just not connected to
my CLARK line. I think you'll find most of the early families marrying into the
William CLARK line were from the towns of Haddam or East Haddam,
Middlesex Co., CT or nearby.

We now have 46 members on this list - 9 Digest, 37 List - including five or
six new members in the last week. I'd like to suggest that we all post our
lineages back to William CLARK of Haddam [or as far as we can go if we
believe that a line will eventually connect to him] so we can compare notes.
My line is:

Greetings Cousins:
I am descended from Oliver Perry Clark, number 57 on Jane Devlin's page.
Some branches of our family thought the we came from the Clark of Lewis &
Clark and others thought the Clark that signed The Declaration of
Independence.
Looks like we all were wrong.
Oh well.

Jane,Joe et al: According to John Alonzo Clark who was alive and
chronicled all of his aunts & uncles names and marriages ,etc. Reuben
had 11 children. 10 of whom lived to adulthood. The order of their
birth according to him: Anna, Samuel, Daniel, Mary, John (John Alonzo's
father), Reuben, Thomas, Silas, Phebe and Eli.
There is further mention that Reuben (his grandfather went to live with
his younger son Eli in western NY where he died in a fit walking the
fields.
I haven't searched for Eli in Western NY. Has anyone?
Michael Owens has entered much of the information on his web site which
can be viewed and copied/dowloaded. Jane, I believe I sent you this
also. It was sent to me by Elaine Childs of Salt Lake City.
