I've "rescued" three old photographs belonging to the CLARK Family of
Franklin County New York. The first photograph is one of Kitty CLARK MARTIN
and was taken at the Fay & Ferris Studio in Malone, NY. The photograph
appears to have been taken in the 1870's with Kitty likely in her teens or
20's at the time. The second photograph is one of Mrs. Sam CLARK, taken at
the T. M. Hawley's Gallery in Malone, NY, likely in the 1860's or 1870's
with Mrs. CLARK appearing to be in her 30's or 40's at the time it was
taken.
The third photograph is identified as "The CLARK girls" with the note "Mr. &
Mrs. Sam CLARK" written below. This photograph was taken at the Fay &
Ferris Studio as well, likely in the 1870's with the two girls appearing to
be about 4-9 years old at the time. Based on limited research I was able to
locate the following information regarding this family:
Kitty Estelle CLARK b. 14 Jun 1852 in Malone, NY to parents Benjamin S. W.
CLARK and Adaline L. MEIGS
Samuel S. CLARK b. 1 Nov 1835 in Malone, NY to parents Samuel Smith CLARK
and Jane Ann WEAD. Samuel married Edna E. EDWARDS on 11 Feb 1858.
