I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as the home belonging to the
sister of Margaret GREENAMYER. The house is located in Lillydale, New York
and is pictured on a photo postcard which is postmarked 19 Apr 1911. The
postcard was sent to Mrs. L. D. PUTNAM at 29 Howard Street in Dunkirk, NY.
Thanks to the help of a researcher with the Lillydale Historical Society I
know that Margaret GREENAMYER died in 1919 and was survived by a sister Mrs.
Hanna TURNER, and two sons ROBERT E. and Charles E. GREENAMYER, along with 8
grandchilden and 8 great-grandchildren including Mrs. Clyde CLARK.
Records also indicate that the home was owned jointed by the GREENAMYER and
LARSON Families, though we have no indication of the connection between the
two families. It also appears that the name was sometimes written or
spelled as GREENAMEYER. I am hoping to locate someone for the GREENAMYER
Family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to their
family.
If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please
contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
My great, great grandmother was Ann Clark. She was born in Ireland Aug. 28,
1834. She died in Kingsbury , NY on July 13, 1922. The census of 1900 says
that she immigrated to New York from Ireland in 1856. She was married to my
great great grandfather, Patrick Hogan sometime between 1856 and 1861
probably in Granville, NY. I know little about her family. Her parents on her
death certificate were Susan Curlis and Thor Clark.
If anyone is doing any research on this Clark family, I would like to hear
from them. Thank you,
Margo
