My Clark is really Ó Cléirigh from Co. Mayo and they shipped from Liverpool as Cleary but once they got to Utica they became Clark. Arrived here 1837. Michael, married to Mary Loftus. So I guess we aren't genuine Clarks.

Hi Gerry..
I do have this line in my data base, in fact, it's one of my largest and
longest lines!
Can you send me a descendant report so that we can compare notes and
sources? I'm still looking for my ancestor, Wilmot Clark, b. 1797, NY,
who shows up in Sullivan Co., NY in the early 1800s.
I also have Myron Clark in my data base, but I do not have his parents or
ancestors, so I did not have him connected to this line..
Regarding Bethia Williams and Lydia Lamb... I do not have their parents
listed, so I can't shed any light on their lines.
I'll send you a descendant report of what I have, to you directly, since
it's much too much to post on the mailing list. If anyone else would like
a copy, just let me know.

Hello Clarks of New York researchers. I am the new keeper of this
mailing list. My name is Mary and I live in Alaska. I am a very
low-key list administrator...the only things that bother me are flame
wars and off-topic posts. I do have Clark's in my tree who lived in
Little White Creek, New York. I gather that it sits right on the
border with Vermont. There are quite a number of folks on the list
and perhaps you could share something about your New York Clark family.

I promised Emma that I would take care of her lists in her absence and now
that she won't be returning to care for them I'm looking to the list members
who worked with Emma over the years who may be interested in adopting this list
and and carrying on the discussions and research in the manner Emma would
have wanted. If any list subscriber is interested in taking as the new admin,
please contact me privately (off-list).
Thank you all for your concern for Emma and your kindness to me while I
tried to fill in temporarily.

To all-
As some of you know, your list admin for this list, Emma Cronin, has been
battling throat cancer for some time. I've been temporarily handling the admin
duties for the list during her cancer treatments. This morning I received
the message below from Emma's daughter so I'm passing it along to help keep
you informed.
I'm sure all of our thoughts and prayers go out to Emma and her family at
this time.
Joan Young
Please feel free to pass this on to any of her lists/boards that she admin's.
Emma, my mother, has lost the fight against cancer and as of yesterday the
decision was made to move her to palliative care so that we can just keep her
comfortable. Currently the Dr. believes that the end will come sometime in
the next couple of days.
I will pass along another message later but for now I need to get back to
the hospital.
I will try to answer any emails sent to this address as best I can.
Thank you
Shawn
