Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users.
It has removed 724 spam emails to date.
Paying users do not have this message in their emails.
Try SPAMfighter for free now!
I use a good spam filter, and you probably do the same.
I have whitelisted you and that means that I will receive all the emails you send to me.
I would appreciate it if you would whitelist my email address: clare7(a)gulftel.com in your spam filter.
If you don't have a spam filter, I can recommend SPAMfighter. It is a highly effective free spam filter for Outlook and Outlook Express.

Dear Joe:
Thank you so much for your reply. I was so pleased to hear from you and of
a possible connection. I just received a copy of the marriage record from
WI for Esther Jane Clark (daughter of Hiram Clark and Malinda Clark) who
married George S. Brainard on Sept. 14, 1863. The person "pronouncing the
marriage" was Joseph H (?) Payne of Salem, WI. (It was registered on Sept.
26, 1863.) (If you would like a copy I'd be happy to mail it to you.)
I'm wondering if the Joseph H. Payne might be a relative of Malinda Payne
Clark????
In the 1850 census in Milwaukee Co., Ward 4, WI the children's ages
indicated Cornelia (17 - making her born approx. 1833); Esther (12 - making
her born approx 1838); Helen (8 - making her born about 1842), and I
believe her twin was Hiram (8).
Some time ago I found, just by chance, a site on a WI Society that noted "a
Hiram Clark died April 27, 1854." It mentioned Malinda's name - but I can
not find the site again - and this was the only spot to refer to him or his
passing.
My great grandmother was Helen Clark and she married Moses Farnsworth in
Illinois.
There are always so many questions - but what a thrill when there is a
connection.
Thank you, again.
Let me know if you would like a copy of the record, too.
Joan

Hi Joan
Here's what I have in my data base on the family you mention:
========================
Hiram CLARK #15728, b. 1806 in VT. He married Malinda PAYNE #15729, b.
Abt 1807 in NY. Hiram died 27 Apr 1854.
===========================
I did not record a source for this info when I recorded it in 1999, so it
possibly came from you, but has a little more details about a death date.
>From the 1850 census, do you have approx birth years of the kids
(especially Cornelia and the next kid) since that would tie this family
to NY for this time period.
I do have a bunch of Hirams born about this time frame, so we may be able
to tie your Hiram to them..

Greetings:
Am searching for information about Hiram Clark (Born - 1810 in VT) and Malinda (possibly Payne) Clark (born in NY in approximately 1807). 4 children (Cornelia (born in NY), Esther, Helen and Hiram (all born in IL). In 1850 Census in City of Milwaukee, Ward 4, District 20; Milwaukee, WI. Unable to find before or after.
Thank you for any help.
Joan.
