Good Evening Everyone,
Well... AOL users are still not getting all the mail although bits and
pieces are making it through. So... although I can send you this message I can't
read any replies at this point in time. Again... if you need me please send
the message to enc6(a)aol.com.
In the meantime, I thought I might remind you of something of possible
interest. I am sure that all of you are familiar with www.google.com and using
that site for searching various topics.
But google also offers another free service - news alerts. You can define
the topics you are interested in and google will automatically send notice of
newspaper articles on that topic to your inbox.
I have google news alerts set for my main surnames (I wouldn't recommend it
for Smith...<g>) and a few other topics of interest including the topic
"genealogy".
You might like to experiment with setting some google news alerts. You can
always cancel them if you decide they aren't of value.
Just to give you a couple of examples.... Here are a couple of articles
recently received under my "genealogy" google news alert.
This first one talks a bit about different forms of money used at various
times in our history.
