I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Mrs. J. S. PEAVEY with her
daughter and granddaughter. The photograph was taken at the Hill Studio in
Lancaster, New Hampshire. The photograph is dated 1909 with Mrs. PEAVEY
appearing to be in her 40's or 50's, her daughter in her 20's, and the child
about 3 years old. Based on limited research I was able to locate the
following information regarding this family:
James Smith PEAVEY b. 4 Aug 1843 in Gilmanton Iron Works, NH to parents
James PEAVEY and Abigail WEST, married Mary Louise CLARK b. 23 Apr 1852 in
Concord, NH on 22 Apr 1869 in Pittsfield, NH. Together the couple had 5
children including, Frank; Abby Jane; George Smith; Ida Mehitable; and
Warren Clark PEAVEY all born between 1870 and 1879 in Chichester, Littleton,
and Lancaster, NH. James Smith PEAVEY died in Amesbury, MA on 5 Feb 1928.
Census records provide the following information:
1900 census of Lancaster, NH:

old treasure can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of
this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
