I'm searching for a Clark family who came from Ireland. The story passed
down in the family is that three brothers came from Ireland to Conn. I
think one of the brothers had at lease three children named Philander,
Amaziah, and Eunice. Philander Clark is my g.g.g. grandfather he was born
9-12-1810 in N.Y. and he married Mary Ann Rolison which was from Seneca
N.Y. (her parents were Charles and Susannah Rolison). Philander Clark and
his family then moved on to Ohio. What I'm trying to find is Philander's
parents names who were both born in Conn. Has anyone heard about three
Clark brothers coming from Ireland? Does anyone know how to figure this
out? Is there a message board in Conn. for the Clark families?
Thanks for any help. Bev Clark Wyse (Bevwyse(a)comcast.net)

If any of you are descendants of the Clarks of Milford, CT (especially Deacon George, but also of Farmer George or others) - the Platt Family Association is issuing an open invitation to all their Clark 'cousins' to join them at their annual reunion this year. If you're interested, please contact me off-list at lkender(a)yahoo.com.
I received the following email from Dick Platt (who is the town historian of Milford and also a Deacon George Clark descendant):
"I've probably had more Clark inquiries during the past year than any other, so this led me to wonder if there was interest in a reunion of Clarks. We will be having our annual Platt Family Reunion on 14 July at the Milford Yacht Club, and if there is enough interest in a Clark get-together, I'd like to invite you. Our speaker probably will be Ruth Shapleigh Brown of the Connecticut Gravestone Network, and she has an interesting talk on gravestone carvers and their styles."
"I understand that there once was, and may be still, a Clark Family Organization, founded in 1901. They had reunions, I think, mostly in the West rather than here. If any of you happen to know if this group still exists, perhaps we can really get something going."
"Please pass this on to others of your family who you think may be interested. "
I hope this notice isn't inappropriate to the list - if so, my apologies in advance.

Looking for information on Sarah CLARK who married George DAVIS about 1640
Capt. George Davis records show he died in 1667. Place of death varies with which record you find. but Probably around Cape Fear
Sarah Clark Davis married a Rist/Rice and was imprisoned for witchcraft for several months in 1692.
One of her Davis daughters was married but also imprisoned for witchcraft in the same period.
Does anyone have any records for Sarah Clarks ancestors.
Thanks
Glenn Dunavan.
