Hello,
For several reasons, I haven't done any research in 6 months, but did a
look-up for someone this morning. When I looked in my "History of
Cambridge," * I accidentally came across a secton on CLARK.
There are almost 2 pages, so I will just offer the first paragraphy:
"Dr. A. P. Clarke
Clarke, Dr. AugustusP., who was one of the leading physicians of the
University City, was born in Pawtucket, R.I., September 24, 1833, being the
son of Seth Darling and Fanny (Peck) Clarke, both lineal descendants of the
earlies Puritans who were among the most influential settlers of Plymouth,
Boston, Dorchester, Hingham, Roxbury, Denham and Mendon in Massachusetts,
and Providence, Newport, Portsmouth and Warchick, in Rhode Island. He
was father of the eighth generation in descent from Joseph Clarke, who with,
who with his wife, Alice, came with the settlers comprising the first
Dorchester company, that embarked at Plymouth, England, March 20, 1630, in
the ship, Mary and John. He was the ancestor of the late eminent
Professor, Edward H. Clarke of the Harvard Medical School. .........."
There is also a section on:
"Edward E. Clark
Clark, Edward E., was born in Cambridge, Mass., November 4, 1870. He was
the son of Martin, V. B., and Sarah M. (Rollins) Clark, both native of New
Hampshire. ........."
That's all I can offer today. I hope this helps someone.

"A History of Cambridge, Masssachusdetts (1630-1913) by Samuel Atkins
Eliot, together with biographies of Cambridge people," Cambridge 1913.
There are 2 other "histories" that I know of, the one which is better is
the one by Paige - so I'm told.
I'm looking for the parents of Orange Smith Clark (b.1798) and his brother
Warren Clark (b. abt 1794) from St. Albans Twp, Franklin County, Vermont.
They also lived in Swanton, Vermont.
In about 1822 they moved to the District of Bedford, St. Armand West
(Philipsburg), Missisquoi Co, Quebec, Canada.
The Rev Richard Whitwell was the first rector of St. Armand West. He served
from 1826 to 1855. Any of his church records might be helpful in this
search.
I have more details for them online at:
http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=clark1134&id=I107http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=clark1134&id=I...
The parents I have listed for them at this time are a very rough guess, at
best:
William Clark (b. abt 1762) in Voluntown, New London County, CT, and
Elizabeth Smith.
Any help you can offer or any suggestions as to where to go from here would
be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Clint Clark
