Dear Sir or Madam,
In my Clark line in Dent County, Missouri, only two men served during the World War II era. The first was Ulysses Stanley Clark, who served in the Philippines, and the second was Ralph Eldon Clark, who served within the United States during the war. There may be others from Dent County, but these are the only two of whom I am aware. My father and his brothers were all too young for World War II, and their father, eldest brother of the two mentioned here, and their next eldest brother, were too old to serve at that time. Should I happen to locate a photo of this man, I will forward it to you, but as I am unable to place him in my family tree, that is unlikely.
Thank you for your efforts; these things all help us to understand our history.Sincerely,Barbara L.

Dear Sir, Madam,
I am from Holland and have an interest in WW2 history, especially in the US servicemen who fought and died for our freedom and are/were buried in the US Military Cemetery in Margraten, Holland (near where I live).
I am seeking in particular for a picture from Harold E. Clark.
He was born July 4th 1920.
He was killed in action in Germany/Belgium, December 17th 1944.
Please see also the info below this email.
Can you please help me?
Thank you in advance,
kind regards from Holland,

He is buried in the Savannah Cemetery in the town of Savannah, Andrew County, Missouri.
His family lived for several years in Andrew County. In 1949 a woman named Mrs. Sadie E. Clark, very possibly his wife, filled out an Application for Headstone or Marker, through the US government, in order to get a marker for his grave. The marker was sent to the Breit Funeral Home in Savannah.
A man named Harold Clark whose age corresponds enlisted in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, on May 11, 1944,
It is possible that Harold Clark is the son of William A. Clark and Lillie (Lillian) P. Clark, who lived in Nodaway, a town that was in Andrew County. He had a sister named Elsie who was five years older than he, and a brother named Dale who was three years older.
Harold served as a private in the 393rd Infantry Regiment of the US Army.

I am a Clark who's ancestors are from SE Mo, Wayne or Reynolds County. Although my relatives do not include Harold, I do have a friend (also a Clark) who's father was named Harold. Let me know if you want me to contact her.
