Your Clark's are between mine. John was born in 1775.
He married Lucy Elliot in 1799. I looked over the
other children of Henry Clark. Capt. Benjamin Clark
(1759-) married Jan Patience Dillingham in 1782. They
had children before 1790 but no Charles. Isaac Clark
born in 1770 but had no children before 1793. Henry
Clark married in 1806.
Henry's parents, Ephraim Clark and Elizabeth Lyon had
a son Ephraim who moved to TN, a Nathaniel Clark,
Icabod Clark, Ridemus Clark plus some daughters. Your
Charles could have been from one of these lines. If I
find him I will let you know.
According to my records, John C. did not arrive in
Callaway until 1825 but I have surveyed land given to
him in 1819. I guess that means his family did not
arrive until 1825 because there is land in the name of
his wife Betsy in the early 1820's.

Hello List! I have been looking for all the children of Andrew Jackson
Clark, (b. 1840 in Springfield, IL) and Lucy Jane Wilson who came to Tarkio,
Atchison County, MO in c. 1870. They raised 10 children to adulthood. Andrew
Jackson had family just over the state line in Page Co. c. 1890-1910 which included
his brothers and his mother, Melinda Elizabeth Reed Clark. If anyone has a
link to any of these folks, please let me hear from you!! I am happy to share
my information.
Regards,
Kathy Stovall
Joshua H. CLARK born 6 Feb. 1808 in Kentucky or New York to Phineas CLARK and Charlotte SMITH. He married Elizabeth DAVIS 31 Jan. 1828 in Meramec township, Jefferson Co., MO. Their children:
Louisa b. (1831) St. Louis, MO
Clarissa b. (1832) St. Louis, MO
Belinda b. (1835) St. Louis, MO
Lafayette b. (1837) St. Louis, MO
William Henry Harrison b. 3 Apr. 1839 St. Louis, MO d. 27 Dec. 1924 Iola, Allen Co., KS
m. 7 Mar. 1861 Rock House Prairie, Buchanan Co., MO Martha Elizabeth WESTBROOK
b. 3 Sept. 1841 Weston, Platte Co., MO d. 12 Apr. 1936 Caney, Montgomery, KS
Benjamin J. b. (1843) MO
George b. (1845) MO
Joshua was a stonemason by trade and was in St. Louis in 1830 and 1840 censuses and was listed in the 1842 St. Louis directory as a journeyman stonemason.
The 1850 Missouri federal census, Buchanan Co. lists Joshua with children. Elizabeth apparently died between 1845 (the birth of George) and 1850.
In 1852/3 the deed of sale of his property notes his wife Emily Jane. (I have not found this marriage record).
Joshua's twin, Caleb CLARK left Buchanan County around 1847 and was one of the first pioneers in Madison County, Iowa.
I would appreciate any information on descendents of Joshua and Elizabeth.

Hello! I am new to this list. Here is the main CLARK line I am researching: Reuben CLARK, b. 1774 (not sure where) m. Elizabeth (Betsy) LACEFIELD Nov. 27, 1794 in Shelby County, Kentucky. Their son Reuben, b. Marsh 23, 1802 in Kentucky (don't know which county) m. Delila LILE, January 25, 1825 in Green County KY. Their son Calvin W. CLARK, b. February 24, 1828 in Green County KY m. Parthena E. MITCHELL May 10, 1855 in Barren County KY and their son Samson Jones CLARK, b. August 15, 1857 in Barren County KY m. Cora Maud CAMPBELL, October 19, 1898 in Gentry County, Missouri and my father Ralph Stetson CLARK, b. April 18, 1904 in Jameson, Daviess County, Missouri m. Verda Ann MEAD, October 5, 1941 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.
Samson Jones CLARK came to Jameson around 1883 with Calvin coming sometime after that. Samson was a carpenter and built the First Baptist Church in Jameson in 1893. He had a brother, Granville R. CLARK who also came to Missouri from Kentucky and married Marie S. CASHMAN, October 11, 1897 in Jameson. They are all buried in Grand River Cemetery in Jameson. Granville and Marie had three children: Juanita b. August 1898; Hubert C. b. October, 1899 d. June 22, 1902 and Verna A. b. about 1904. Would love to find out what happened to his daughters.
Hoping to connect with someone. I have lots of information on siblings and some connected lines. Am willing to share any information I have.
Thank You
Linda Clark Foster

Major Christopher Charles Clark who mar Elizabeth
Adams abt 1790 was
also in Callaway Co, Mo as well as Lincoln Co, Mo. I
wonder what
connection he was to your line that is listed here.
Only two children
that I know of were David who died 1837 in Tx and
Catherine who married
Joseph Hill McCoy and came to Tx, as did the Major
himself. The McCoys
as well as the Clarks went to Mo from Ky. Have you
ever noticed the
name of McCoy with these Clarks or in your research?
Thanks, Jean
