The Carleton CO, NB, Peel Parish Census for 1871 says he was from England.

Differeent sources have different dates: 1811, 1812 and 1813. He could have
been /probably born in England but he could have been born in Peel Parish,
Carleton CO, NB, Canada. Don Beattie
Are you related to the Shaws? Some Clarks in Peel Parish married Shaws. My
cousin Deb Shaw Mason is doing a lot on Shaws in Canada/NB and Maine.

That is a large place isn't it (England)! Frustrating at times this hobby
of ours!

I don't recognize any of the names you noted/Clarks but I'll keep looking of
course until I get my Peel Clarks completed as much as possible. I got my
James Clarke's wife, Olive Jane Sewall's family back to my 3rd g grandparents
yesterday. DWBeattie

There are Thomas Clarke names in the Census of 1871 which show birth dates
similar to your Thomas, but he was born in England according to the Census and
this Thomas may be my g g grandfather James Clarke's brother. DWBeattie

Thanks, Judy, my Clarks all came either to Kouchibouguac or Peel Parishes in
NB. None except the ones who moved in the last few decades (Helen Sharp Clark
and family from Stickney, NB now in London Ontario) got out of those parishes
and/or went to other provinces, eh? Many went to the States, nonetheless.
Good for you, 3 gr grandparents! I am on 2nd gr grandparents. What year
was your James Clarke born and where?
Judy

Middlesex, Ontario born 1858? Do you know any McGees from this area?

I'm originally from Mars Hill and actually still maintain my farm there and
keep my connections with close Clark Family members there. Many of my Clarks
from /Peel Parish, Carleton CO went from Canada to Aroostook in the timeframe
you note. Some went earlier and I have a cousin in Westfield, Deb Mason, who
has a list of them in the Census Reports for 1850. Keep in touch if
interested. Thanks. Don Beattie

I have a second cousin, Helen Sharp Cark who still lives in London, Ontario.
Her husband, deceased, was as was she from Stidkney in Carleton CO, NB,
Canada. Don Beattie from Maine
Thanks for getting back. My Clarks lived in Ontario, London area and
eventually moved to Michigan in 1880s. Don't know of any Prescotts. Good
luck though.
