Hi,
My ancestor, James CLARK was born in England abt 1835 and he came to
Canada about 1870. He married Mary DICKSON (DIXON) about 1875. Their children
Alfred J. (b 1876), George (b 1877) and John (b 1880) were baptized in St.
Matthew's Chapel (Anglican) in Quebec City. In the 1881 census they were living in
the Montcalm Ward of Quebec City. They moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1882 where
daughter Bertha was born in 1884.
I am looking for any clues as to where in England James was from. Or if any
other family members came to Canada with him. What port would he have arrived
in ? Are there passenger lists available for the 1870 time period? Any help
appreciated.
Thank you,
Kathy
Hi
I am searching Clarks in P.E.I. Descentants of Micheal Clark and Sarah Gamble.
Micheal's father could have been John Clark who work with Captain Samuel Holland on
surveying group.

William CLARK is possibly my 5th GGrandfather. He was born 16 May 1725,
Hawnby, England. Sailed from Hull, England 10 Apr 1775 aboard ship "Jenny"
arriving at Fort Cumberland, Nova Scotia.
Children listed with William; Mary 13, William 10, Richard 9 and Rachel 3.
William's wife Dorothy STONEHOUSE was not listed.
William later married Mary JAMES abt 1777 in Nova Scotia.
Children: Robert 1777, James 1779, John 1782, Thomas 1784, Henry 1786, Nancy
1788, Joseph 1791.
My line is from Richard who migrated to Philadelphia, PA abt 1800 and later
to Lewis County, KY. His son Richard Jr
was born abt 1800 either Nova Scotia or PA.
I think other family members also followed the same route as Richard.
I am trying to obtain more info on the family: who came to US and who stayed
in Canada.
I have quite a bit of info to share with other researchers of the CLARK
branch
Thanks for any help.
