Subject: [CLARK-AUS-UK] Thomas CLARK - FULLER, LANCE, JONES, EDWARDS,
URQUHART, TAYLOR
Thomas CLARK b 1755 Boningale near Shifnal, Salop. England spent over 50
years in the army with most of his later years as captain of the Forfarshire
Militia based in Montrose Scotland. He died in Montrose in 1842.
A son, George Clark b 1817 Montrose married Mary FULLER in Sydney in 1840
and had children of Thomas Henry CLARK 1841 - 1886 and Charlotte Jane CLARK
(LANCE) 1843 - 1900. George died in 1843 and Mary married John JONES.
My wife is a descendant of Thomas Henry CLARK and we would love to connect
with anyone who might be researching any connection to the CLARK, LANCE or
JONES families.
We have several brick walls even among the descendants of Thomas Henry CLARK
who married Elizabeth Sarah EDWARDS in 1873. Children of this marriage
include:
1. George Alfred Thomas CLARK 1874 - 1946
2. Thomas William CLARK 1876 - ?
3.Mary Anne CLARKE 1878 - ? married John URQUHART
4. Robert John CLARK 1880 - 1968 ( my wife's line)
5. Frederick Charles CLARK 1884 - 1956
6. Eliza Jane CLARK 1885 - 1938 mar Edgar TAYLOR
To the best of our knowledge those 6 children were born in Sydney and those
we know of all died in Sydney.
Does anyone out there connect?
