Hi Frances,
Have you checked Rootsweb for county lists. I belong to the Madison County
list and to the Sebastian County list. These county lists are very helpful in
researching.
If you have not gone to the USGenWeb site for Arkansas and then your county,
start there and see what they have to offer. You can check out the
Courthouse and The Arkansas History website and see what they offer. You can also go
to the Mormon website (_www.familysearch.org_ (http://www.familysearch.org) )
and see what they have to offer and to the Social Security website. Go to
Cindi's List web site and see what she has to offer.
I hope I have been of some help to you.
Sue

I am researching John Thomas Clark b.app. 1874 and wife Anne Margaret
Jaggers-Clark b. app. 1870. They were born in Mississippi and moved to
Arkansas in the early 1900's. I believe they moved around alot but were
known to be in the area of Cross County in the 1940's. Any information
would be appreciated.

Sue, can you tell me if it would be best to go to the Arkansas History
Commission or the county court house to find information on my Clark family?

I am researching the J H CLARK (b 1814) family from South Carolina who came
to that area before 1850. His wife was Lucinda (b 1814) and their children
were: William A, b 1836; John F, b 1838; Amanda D, b 1841; James C, b 1843;
Amelia E, b 1844; Tolla M, b 1845; Calvin B, b 1850 and Rufus, b 1853. They
were listed in Poinsett County in the 1850 and 1860 censuses, but then were
listed in Cross Co. All of the children were born in S Carolina down to
Calvin and Rufus. I am especially interested in learning what became of
John F, and Amelia. Are there marriage records available there in the
county?
I'm looking forward to being a part of the list, Sue.
