The messages have arrived in my E-mail. Obviously not for me but since
CLARIDGES are involved who knows?
My John and Mary Claridge seem to have "appeared" in Wandsworth late 1700s.
All their children were baptized at All Saints Wandsworth. James March 27,
1803. William (1) Feb 13, 1801. William (2) Feb 18, 1810 . Daniel Jan 3rd.
1812 ( who married the above Harriett Elizabeth Gutherie at St. Martins in
the Field Dec 25, 1834) Ann Margaret Jan 1, 1814 when the name is spelled
Clarage and the father's occupation is gardener.
I am a descendent of Daniel, through his son John Dean CLARIDGE. John's
descendents eventually came to live in Canning Town, West Ham and were there
until at least 1946.
Who are yours? I have a number of miscellanous references that I have
collected over the years in connection with the name.
