There were also two Peter Elrod Clardys. PEJ Clardy was born in Tennessee and died in Walker co, GA. He is listed in the household of Agnes Clardy/Claridy and Her husband, Elijah A. Wellborn in Forsythe Co, GA in 1850. He married Tabitha Jane Eskew and moved to Walker Co, Ga soon after 1850, along with some of the Wellborn sons. I believe the other one was born in Sc and died in Tennessee. Very confusing!

I'm looking for the ancestors of the above William Franklin Clardy. He was born in Sugar Loaf, Ga., enlisted in the Civil War from Lafayette, Ga. in 1864.His records from "The National Archives" show him as Franklin Clarida. I know there was an Elliot Clardy in that area at the same time and I have documents of an Abraham Clardy receiving land in 1835 in Cherokee County, Georgia.I believe William Franklin was born about 1845/6. Any help would be appreciated.
