I also am interested. My husband's line is down through William Franklin, then a daughter who married a Masters.I have some paperwork received from Ga. which gives Elliot as obtaining land there. I will have to dig that out, but he did get land due to a land lottery.

I am interested in your Clardy information - Elliot, John Quincy, William Franklin, Maude Clardy McMillin, James Riley McMillin are my line. That makes Elliot my 3rd gr-grandfather. I found some indications that Elliot and Joab got Cherokee land in the Land Lottery. Haven't tracked it down completely, but think that is when they moved to Walker County, Ga.

I know very little about the Clardy side on my family. My grandparents were John Bascom Clardy and Novella Pearl (Norton) Clardy. I have very little info about either of them. I do remember meeting an uncle Comp once or twice. JB Clardy had 4 sons, Jim (d 1965), Charles (d 2000) John, my father (d 1994), Jean (living) and one daughter Evelyn C Gunter (d 1999). Dennis Clardy, you are my second or third cousin. I'd like to hear about your father and other relatives. I've heard of the Clardys possibly being from Tennessee, MO and the Carolinas.
