I believe my g-grandmother, Mary Clardy, was a sister to your Clardy, Ella, who married a Masters. In fact, recently I got a copy of a picture from another cousin that is of Clardys and Masters. Several of the Clardys and Masters are buried in the cemetery at Mullin, Texas. I have just recently gotten this information, so have not had a chance to visit the cemetery. I live a couple of hours from there. E-mail me direct and I will try to send you copies of this picture and the info I have. yspeer(a)aol.com

My husband's Clardy line comes from his Grandmother(Maternal)I believe they were in SC at one time, then in Georgia. His GGrandparents on that side came to Texas in the late 1890's. Grandmother Clardy married a Masters. They lived in Sa Saba Co.,Texas for a few years, then went to Kansas and back and forth for years between Kansas and Wa. state. The Masters line were from SC and I have seen some evidence that points to his line of Clardys having come from SC before Georgia.
