Does anyone know where the Calhoun came from - was this a family name or in honor of someone? I have James Miller Clardy from this line in my line and I have no idea where the Miller came from and if I knew where the Calhoun came from maybe it is the same tradition?

I have the same line as you, I believe. Here's what I have: Benjamin Clardy, born about 1710, married Millicent Norman. I am not sure of his parents, as I have question marks in my data base - I believe I entered the info you posted last year. Benjamin and Millicent had a son, Mikal or Michael, Sr.(brother of your Benjamin H Clardy, it seems), born 1733 and died 1804 in Virginia, who married Judith Scarbrough. One of their sons was James Calhoun Clardy, born 1758 in Virginia and died 1841 in Laurens, SC. If we are of the same Clardy line, it seems our families diverged with my Mikal and your Benjamin.

Ok, it is good to see action for a little bit on this line. I am as confused as Marny is... LOL.
Michael Clardy, son of Benjamin Harwood Clardy and Lucy Harrison, what year was Ben H born?
I have a Benjamin H Clardy (b 1752), who is the son of Benjamine Clardy (b. 1709) and Millicent Norman.
I do not have a Lucy Harrison or Mary Ligon in my database.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Lori

I have too much information on the Michael Clardys and I am hoping someone can help me out
When & which Michael Clardy married Nancy Comer?
When & which Michael Clardy married Rebecca Peters?
When & which Michael Clardy married Mary Ligon?
Was the John Clardy that was born in 1802 and died in Greene, IL the son of which Michael Clardy?
I know Benjamins are in this line somewhere, but if John Clardy B. 1802 d. Greene, IL) was the son of a Michael Clardy why didn't he have a son named Michael? He had a daughter named Nancy (so logically Nancy Comer is his mother, right?)
I am very lost and would love more details if anyone can help me out?
Thanks
